## In short

Glory Works is a Chinese restaurant on the 1st floor of Sigma Tower near Sangdong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. There was even a lunchtime waiting line, and the writer ordered a set with garlic tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) for two plus drinks, with a soft fried egg on top of the noodles. Clean interior, mild seasoning, and a solid pick for a family meal or gathering near Sangdong Station.

I heard there was a clean, tidy Chinese restaurant near Sangdong Station, so I went to check it out. It's close to Sangdong Station and right in front of a bus stop, so it looked pretty accessible too.

I'd read a lot of reviews saying the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk were delicious, so I went in with high expectations — and it turned out to be popular enough that there was even a waiting line at lunchtime.

Here's my honest review after visiting Glory Works, located near Sangdong Station in Bucheon.

## Interior and seating

Glory Works is a Chinese restaurant near Sangdong Station where you can enjoy a variety of Chinese dishes in a sleek atmosphere.

Unlike a typical Chinese restaurant, the interior was clean and bright, and I thought it would work well as a spot for a family meal or a gathering.

The tables came in a range of sizes, from solo seating to larger tables for groups, so it was easy to find a spot that matched our party size.

## What we ordered

Glory Works' signature dishes are the garlic tangsuyuk and haemul jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and I'd read a lot of reviews saying the seasoning isn't too intense, so it's easy for anyone to enjoy. I'd originally thought about getting the spicy jaengban jjajang, but since I wanted to try the popular garlic tangsuyuk too, I went with the jjajang set that includes it.

If you join the Naver receipt review event, you can also get a condensed-milk flower bread (yeonyu kkotppang) for free, so it's worth keeping in mind if you're planning a visit.

We ordered the set with garlic tangsuyuk, jjajang for two, and drinks included. The portions were generous for the price, which was satisfying.

The side dishes were jasai and danmuji. The jasai had a slight kick of spice that went well with the jjajangmyeon, and of course danmuji, a Chinese restaurant staple, was included too.

### Jjajangmyeon

The jjajangmyeon came topped with a soft fried egg, which gave it a mild, savory flavor. The portion was pretty generous too — I think we could've been full just from the noodles alone, even without the tangsuyuk.

### Garlic tangsuyuk

![Jjajang lunch set for two at Glory Works, a Chinese restaurant near Sangdong Station in Bucheon](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sangdong-jjajang-set-gloryworks/bucheon-sangdong-jjajang-set-gloryworks-13-1eq5k-900.webp)

The tangsuyuk was satisfying — the meat wasn't dry or tough at all, and you could taste the juiciness. The meat itself seemed quite good, and the batter was fried crispy, giving it a chewy texture almost like glutinous rice tangsuyuk.

![Tangsuyuk served with garlic-based sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sangdong-jjajang-set-gloryworks/bucheon-sangdong-jjajang-set-gloryworks-14-1lvgn-900.webp)

The sauce was garlic-based, sweet in a way that felt a bit different from the usual tangsuyuk sauce. There was a subtle garlic aroma too, and I enjoyed it a lot. I'd ordered it because of the good reviews for the garlic tangsuyuk, and after trying it myself, I get why it's so well-liked.

## Wrap-up

Glory Works in Sangdong, Bucheon was a Chinese restaurant where I could enjoy a variety of Chinese dishes in a clean atmosphere. The jjajangmyeon was mild yet filling, and the garlic tangsuyuk in particular was satisfying, with juicy meat, crispy batter, and a sweet garlic sauce all coming together well. If you're looking for a spot for a family meal or a gathering near Sangdong Station, this one's worth a visit.
