## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a Korean tea-house-style café on the 3rd and 4th floors of a building right in front of Songjeong Beach in Busan. I ordered hyeonwolhojicha (roasted barley-hojicha blend tea), the Dalbodeure dessert box, and an americano while watching the beach and the beach train through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and found the 3rd floor's floor seating more comfortable for lingering than the sun-drenched 4th floor. If you love tea and Korean-style desserts, this place is a real treat.

One thing you can't skip on a Busan trip is a bit of time spent relaxing while looking out at the sea.

![View of the sea at Songjeong Beach](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-01-f0y6b-1200.webp)

Especially around Songjeong Beach, there are lots of cafés where you can enjoy the sea up close, making them great stops during a trip.

![Café street scene around Songjeong Beach](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-02-1qzpp-966.webp)

This time I visited Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화), right in front of Songjeong Beach.

![Exterior of the Suwolgyeonghwa building in front of Songjeong Beach](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-03-1yo10-966.webp)

It's a place where you can enjoy tea and dessert while looking out at the wide-open Songjeong sea, but unlike a typical ocean-view café, it has a Korean tea-house feel added in, which gave it a distinctive charm.

## Suwolgyeonghwa location, parking, and hours

Suwolgyeonghwa is located at 188 Songjeong-jungang-ro 6beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, 4th floor.

![Entrance to the building where Suwolgyeonghwa is located](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-04-1qtey-966.webp)

It's an easy walk from Songjeong Beach, so it was convenient to stop by the café while strolling along the beach.

Parking is available in the piloti space on the building's ground floor, but it isn't very spacious and it's double parking, so depending on when you visit it might be hard to find a spot.

When I visited there was no parking space available, so I used a nearby paid lot, which wasn't much of an inconvenience since it was close to the café. The hours are 11:00–23:00, running fairly late, which made it convenient to fit into a travel schedule.

## A hanok-style atmosphere inside

Walking into Suwolgyeonghwa, you're first struck by a calm, quiet mood.

Wood-toned furniture and Korean-style props are placed throughout, giving it the feel of a modern take on a hanok tea house. The 3rd and 4th floors are both used as café space, so there was a good variety of seating.

### 4th-floor window ocean view and the beach train

The 4th floor in particular has an impressive ocean view, with Songjeong Beach stretching out beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows.

You can even watch the beach train pass by in front of the sea, and looking out at that view really made me feel the mood of a Busan trip.

### 3rd-floor floor seating, good for lingering

That said, the 4th floor can get quite sunny depending on the time of day, so the 3rd floor felt more comfortable for sitting for a long time.

The 3rd floor has floor seating as well as regular tables, which made it a comfortable place to relax over tea.

## What I ordered

This time I ordered three things: hyeonwolhojicha, the Dalbodeure dessert box, and an americano.

![Table spread with hyeonwolhojicha, the Dalbodeure box, and americano](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-11-dd1mb-966.webp)

![Tea and dessert set on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-12-hu1fn-966.webp)

Suwolgyeonghwa has a wide range of tea options, but it's also a great place to visit with coffee lovers, so I ordered an americano as well.

## How the hyeonwolhojicha and Dalbodeure box tasted

Hyeonwolhojicha is one of Suwolgyeonghwa's tea menu items, and it was nice to sip slowly while looking out at the sea.

![Hyeonwolhojicha in a teacup](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-13-1ol00-966.webp)

As I drank, I could catch the gentle aroma spreading out, giving a different kind of relaxation from my usual coffee-only café visits.

Rather than a strong or bold flavor, it centers on the mellow, clean character typical of tea, which paired well with dessert. And the Dalbodeure dessert box I ordered alongside it lets you sample several Korean-style desserts at once.

![Dalbodeure dessert box filled with Korean-style desserts](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-15-baouk-966.webp)

Inside the box were a gamtae-myeongnan (seaweed and pollack roe) financier, a red bean-butter monaka, a ganache monaka, black rice bread, injeolmi (rice cake) skewers, and more, so it was fun to pick and try one at a time.

![Monaka, black rice bread, and injeolmi skewers arrangement](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-16-1ytyz-966.webp)

From the sweet red bean and butter monaka to the chewy black rice bread and the nutty bean-flour-coated injeolmi, each one had a different texture and flavor, and they all went well with the tea.

![Cross-section of the red bean-butter monaka](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-17-14ebd-966.webp)

![Americano served alongside the desserts](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-18-c6fr1-966.webp)

The americano had a clean flavor that paired well with the desserts, so even a friend who doesn't like tea could enjoy the visit without any trouble.

## Overall thoughts

What stayed with me about Suwolgyeonghwa is that it's more than just a Busan ocean-view café — it's a space where you can enjoy both the Songjeong scenery and a Korean tea-house feel together.

![Wide view of the Songjeong sea from the window seat](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-19-q4hu0-966.webp)

With Songjeong Beach spread out through the window and the beach train passing by, just sitting there for a while made me feel like I was really on a trip.

![Window seating with the ocean view](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-tea-cafe-20-100w1-966.webp)

If you love tea and Korean-style desserts, you'll enjoy this place even more, and since coffee lovers can order an americano too, it's a good spot to visit with friends who have different tastes.

If you're looking for a place to relax and look out at the sea near Songjeong Beach, try a cup of tea with the Dalbodeure dessert box at Suwolgyeonghwa, a Busan ocean-view café.
