We arrived just a bit after 6pm, and by 6:30 it was nearly full. If it's this busy on a weekday, you could probably expect a wait on Friday nights or weekends. The exterior already looks like something special, right? It was so packed inside that I didn't get many photos, but overall the vibe was quite cozy and appealing. Like everything else, this one came in a generous portion. As soon as it arrived, the staff sprinkled it with sizzling corn cheese, and the presentation was seriously impressive. And the potato pancake itself was so crispy... even after sitting there covered in sauce for a while, it stayed crispy all the way through. Inside there's potato mousse too, and the cheese sauce mixed with corn, salty bacon, and fluffy potato all come together into something pretty flashy. If you love rich, salty, nutty flavors, this is exactly your thing. The verdict on value anju in Gangnam Arigyegok is a Gangnam Station favorite with great atmosphere and great food! The mala-tinged, yukgaejang-style spicy hangover chicken hot pot, the juicy mud duck jeonbyeong, the tangy crunchy black sesame cucumber salad as the perfect side, and the crispy, cheesy, salty cheesy potato pancake — every dish had its own character, tasted great, and came in generous portions. Everything was good, so it's hard to pick a favorite, but purely by personal taste, the mud duck jeonbyeong and the cheesy potato pancake were my top picks. More than anything, I doubt there's another spot in Gangnam offering this much anju for this price.
