Paju's Fruit Forest peach bingsu, piled high with Haetsare peaches! Sweet and generous — a proper Paju fruit bingsu.

Maybe because it's peach season these days, peach desserts kept catching my eye everywhere, so I went to Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store in the Simhaksan restaurant alley in Paju 🍑

This place is a fresh fruit specialty café, so anyone who loves fruit is bound to lose their mind haha. They display high-quality fruit in a showcase and prep it fresh the moment you order! They said they bring in super fresh, high-sugar fruit from the auction every single day!!!!

The weather's been amazing lately ㅠㅠ ugh, I wish it stayed like this all year. No thank you to 40 degrees....

## Peach bingsu topped with Haetsare peaches

🍑 What I had was the peach bingsu! No need to even think about it, straight to peach bingsu. If you love peaches, you can't resist a peach bingsu in summer.

The moment it arrived I was satisfied — the portion was bigger than I expected! The peaches piled generously on top of the shaved ice, and the peach scent drifted up 🍑 They use Haetsare peaches.

With peaches, the fruit's own sweetness matters so much. No matter how good the bingsu itself is, if the peach on top is bland it's disappointing — but here the peaches were genuinely sweet and delicious! I ate it without syrup! haha

> Oh, this is a bingsu that's delicious because the peach is delicious.

That's exactly the feeling I got with the first bite haha. There was plenty of peach flesh too, so it wasn't just one or two pieces and done — I kept eating peach alongside the bingsu the whole time. When the fruit is delicious, the bingsu is delicious.

### With fruit bingsu, sweetness is what matters in the end

When I eat fruit bingsu, the thing I care about most is the sweetness of the fruit hahaha. The ice or milk ice matters too, but in the end the fruit has to be good for overall satisfaction to go up hahaha. Peaches can vary a lot in sweetness, and sometimes you get an unlucky one with no sweetness at all — but here the Haetsare peaches themselves were sweet, so they paired really well with the bingsu.

🍑 With sweet peaches on top of cold, soft shaved ice, my spoon kept going back for more haha. At first I thought "the portion's big enough for two to share," but it kept tasting so good that I couldn't stop. Grab a peach, bite of bingsu, another peach, another bite of bingsu >< before I knew it I'd eaten quite a lot hahaha.

## So how do they pick the fruit?

Fruit Forest lives up to its name — it really does feel like a place that's serious about fruit haha. From their intro, I learned that every morning they attend the first auction at the wholesale market, personally look at and taste the fruit, and select only the sweetest. Once the fruit comes in, it goes through a ripening process, and when an order comes in they cut it fresh right there.

For desserts made with fresh fruit, the freshness and sweetness of the fruit really matter, so I liked that they clearly pay attention to that. The fruit is displayed in a showcase, so you can actually see and pick it yourself ><

## A space that works well for groups too

The space was also bigger than I expected! Even though it's a girly café, they can seat up to 100 people for groups including the terrace! Great for family gatherings or when visiting with a bunch of people~~ They said group orders, cup fruit, and gift sets can also be arranged by asking the store, so it's worth noting if you're looking for fruit gifts or group snacks.

### Dogs allowed on the terrace only

They said dogs are also allowed on the terrace. Indoors is off-limits for dogs for hygiene reasons, and only the terrace works, so keep that in mind!

## How I felt after trying it

Since it's peach season, I've been hunting down peach desserts everywhere, and the peach bingsu I had at Fruit Forest that day was fully satisfying! Above all, I loved how truly fresh and sweet the peaches were, and the amount piled on top was generous too, so anyone who loves fruit should be happy.

With peach bingsu, it's only really delicious if the peach itself is delicious — and because they use Haetsare peaches, I could properly taste that sweet peach flavor. The portion was also generous enough for two to share, and eating a cool dessert on a hot day made me think, life's happiness really is the small stuff haha.

If you're eating around the Simhaksan restaurant alley and craving something sweet afterward, this is worth a stop, and if you love peaches like me, it's worth trying before the season ends 🍑

If I had to pick one peach bingsu for this summer, I love the style with lots of fruit piled on, so this one really suited me haha. The peaches were sweet and the flesh generous, so I got to enjoy that proper peach flavor all the way to the last bite.
