## In short

Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch is a 24-hour Korean BBQ restaurant a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Sinjung-dong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. The writer ordered 2 servings of Boseong Nokdon pork belly, added 1 more serving mid-meal because the staff-grilled pork was so good, grilled potato, king oyster mushroom and kkwari-gochu (small green peppers) alongside, and finished with fried rice. Cham Dwaejitgan is a good pick for a day when you want to sit back and let the staff handle the grill.

I'd been craving really good pork belly for a while, so I visited Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch near Sinjung-dong Station 😀 I do grill pork belly at home sometimes, but there are days you just want to go to a proper BBQ place and eat it grilled right, haha. And honestly, there are days you'd rather have someone else grill it for you than grill it yourself, haha.

## Where is Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch, and when is it open?

Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch is at 68 Jungdong-ro 262beon-gil, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1F, and it's open 24 hours, every day. Coming out of Exit 3 of Sinjung-dong Station toward Lotte Department Store, I found it pretty quickly~ It's in the alley between McDonald's and KFC, so the location was easy to spot.

It's about a 3-minute walk from Sinjung-dong Station, so it's easy to get to by public transport too. And the best part — this is a BBQ restaurant open 24 hours!! Great for days when your schedule is awkward, or when you're craving meat late at night.

## Inside Cham Dwaejitgan: a big, clean dining room

The moment I walked in, I noticed the place was bigger than I expected. The tables weren't cramped, and the whole space felt open~ Instead of the slightly chaotic, busy vibe you often get at BBQ places, it had a neat, well-organized atmosphere.

The seating by the open-air section was nice too :) There were plenty of seats, so it looked good for family meals or for groups visiting together. It'd make a solid pick if you're looking for a company dinner spot in Bucheon.

The fridge on one side was packed with meat, and even just by looking, the meat seemed clean and fresh — got me excited!!

You order through the tablet kiosk at the table, so I browsed the menu and ordered comfortably.

## Table setting and the unlimited self-bar at Cham Dwaejitgan

As soon as we sat down at Cham Dwaejitgan, they brought out minari (water celery) and kimchi right away — and thinking about grilling them lightly before the meat even arrived already got my mouth watering, haha.

![Basic table setting with minari and kimchi](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal-06-1xtds-966.webp)

There were plenty of vegetables to go with the meat too. Green onion salad, garlic scapes, lettuce, bean sprouts, mushroom-wasabi, garlic, chili peppers, and more, plus sauces like ssamjang (soybean paste dip), spicy sauce, salt, and wasabi — you could pick and choose to your taste. Lettuce wraps and kimchi came out with it too.

And you could add more side dishes and vegetables from the self-bar as needed. Everything except minari was unlimited refill, so there was no worry about running short while eating meat~ I tend to eat a lot of lettuce wraps and side vegetables with meat, so I really liked this system, haha. I could grab a little more without feeling awkward about it.

## Ordering 2 servings of Boseong Nokdon pork belly

![Menu listing for Boseong Nokdon pork belly](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal-07-12fex-900.webp)

Cham Dwaejitgan says they use Jirisan black pork and Boseong Nokdon pork, and this time I went with Boseong Nokdon.

![Plate of Boseong Nokdon pork belly, 2 servings](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal-08-nnfhz-900.webp)

First, I ordered 2 servings of Boseong Nokdon pork belly. The moment it arrived, it looked fresh at a glance, and the thickness was just right, so I was already excited to see how it'd feel grilled, haha.

![Boseong Nokdon pork belly on the grill](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal-09-rynuy-900.webp)

![Grill with pork belly and side ingredients cooking together](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal-10-158s9-900.webp)

![Pork belly, kimchi, and bean sprouts cooking on the grill](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal-11-d7ms0-900.webp)

The grill has a section for the pork belly and a connected section for side ingredients, so I could grill kimchi or bean sprouts separately while the meat cooked — nice touch.

## Staff grilling means no oil splatter

One thing that's always a bit annoying when eating pork belly is the oil splatter. It gets on your clothes or the back of your hand while you're just sitting there — but this place uses a handmade grill plate that doesn't splatter much. And indeed, I barely noticed any splattering the whole meal.

Also, a staff member grilled the meat for us!! This made a bigger difference than I expected, haha. No need to keep flipping, cutting, and checking for burning — I just got to chat and wait.

The staff member checked the doneness, cut it into bite-sized pieces, and arranged it nicely — nothing left for me to do. It's been a while since I've eaten this comfortably at a BBQ place, haha.

## Pork belly with a subtle charcoal smoke aroma

Cham Dwaejitgan says they only use charcoal, and the aroma rising from the grill as the meat cooked was quietly great. Especially with the domestic rice husk adding its distinct scent — it had a smoked flavor. Great!!

I picked up a piece and dipped it in salt first — the juices hadn't escaped and stayed moist inside. The outside was browned nicely, the inside stayed tender, and the texture was to my liking.

Pork belly can feel a bit heavy after a few pieces because of the fat, but here, eating it alongside minari, bean sprouts, and green onion salad kept me reaching for more.

![Assorted sauces including wasabi and spicy sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal-17-vgl83-900.webp)

Personally, I liked the combo with wasabi, and dipping it lightly in the spicy sauce cut through the richness nicely too~

At first I thought 2 servings would be plenty, but it was so good that even though I was full, I added 1 more serving, haha.

### Potato, king oyster mushroom and kkwari-gochu peppers on the grill

Our table also came with potatoes, king oyster mushrooms, and gochu (shishito-style peppers), so we grilled the side ingredients while the meat cooked, haha.

I thinly sliced the potato, grilled it until golden on the plate, then ate it together with the pork belly — this combo was pretty great. One piece of meat with one thin slice of grilled potato added a light, nutty flavor — a nice twist.

The gochu and king oyster mushrooms were delicious too once they soaked up a bit of the meat's fat. Being able to grill these side ingredients together was really nice.

## Finishing the meal with fried rice

After eating a good amount of pork belly, of course you can't skip the finish. I also ordered fried rice as part of a review event, and the staff cooked this one for us too.

![Fried rice spread flat and cooked on the grill](https://img.superchart.com/images/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal/bucheon-sinjungdong-bosung-nokdon-samgyeopsal-24-13iu3-900.webp)

They added the ingredients and mixed them well on the grill, then spread it out flat at the end so it stayed hot. Cooked with the leftover juices and meaty flavor still on the plate, it was so good~ Scooping a spoonful while hot, the bottom was slightly crisped, and the texture was great too, haha. In the end I finished the fried rice completely, ha ha. I thought I'd burst, but I was happy, haha.

## Is Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch worth a visit?

The dining room was spacious and clean, ordering was easy, and I could refill vegetables and side dishes as needed. Best of all, having a staff member grill the meat made the whole meal feel relaxed. The pork belly with its subtle charcoal aroma, paired with minari, kimchi, and various vegetables, was a great combo too.

On days when grilling your own pork belly feels like a hassle, a place like this is even more welcome, haha. The restaurant is spacious enough to feel comfortable for a group visit too, so it's worth considering if you're looking for a company dinner spot or a place for a gathering. I visited while searching for a good pork belly place in Bucheon Sinjung-dong, and ended up eating more comfortably than I expected — a memorable meal at Cham Dwaejitgan. If you're looking for a pork belly restaurant near Sinjung-dong Station, take a look!
