On my way to get my hair done near Gangnam Station~~ I'd been running Coupang deliveries the day before and desperately needed caffeine and sugar, so I stopped by a Gangnam Station bakery café I happened to pass. I'd walked by it a few times before and noticed how spacious the interior looked, so I thought I'd introduce it haha. This is Bakerist Brown, a Sinnonhyeon Station bakery I'd recommend.

It turned out to be a Gangnam Station bakery spot running all the way from basement level 1 to the 3rd floor 👍👍

## Bakery counter and wait time at noon on a weekday

Even visiting around noon on a weekday, there was already a line at the counter at Bakerist Brown. Pavlovas, cakes, and cookies came in a wide variety, and the bread was restocked regularly.

I visited around noon on a weekday and was surprised, first, that there was already a line at the counter. Second surprise: the bread kept getting restocked haha. With pavlovas, cakes, and cookies in so many varieties, it was fun just picking what to get 💕💕

Living up to its fame as a salt bread spot near Gangnam Station, they kept bringing out mentaiko salt bread, choco salt bread, melon salt bread, and more. I thought about getting one, but since I'd just had lunch, I saved it for next time.

What I ordered were Bakerist Brown's main menu items: the Gangnam Sand, a plain madeleine, and a salted cream coffee. The Gangnam Sand comes in 8 flavors total, and gift packaging seemed to be available separately, so it looked good as a gift for Gangnam.

After some deliberation, I ordered the main menu of this Sinnonhyeon Station bakery I'd recommend — Bakerist Brown's Gangnam Sand, plain madeleine, and salted cream coffee.

### What does the salted cream latte at Bakerist Brown taste like?

For coffee, the salted cream latte came with the espresso and salted cream prettily divided, which made me happy (I get happy about the smallest things, haha). It was sweet with a hint of salt added on top, so the sweetness wasn't overwhelming, and it paired well with the coffee's bitterness. Tasting the cream on top first, then drinking it together with the coffee, gave a sweet-and-salty flavor combo that made it even more delicious 💓💓

The Gangnam Sand also had nicely varied colors, and they looked pretty. The madeleine had a not-too-heavy butter flavor that went well with the coffee. As for the Gangnam Sand, I only had a few pieces at the café.

## Gangnam Sand flavors compared: matcha, caramel, yellow cheese, strawberry

Of Bakerist Brown's Gangnam Sand flavors, the matcha was intensely strong, bitter even in the cream, while the caramel hit you with caramel aroma right from the first bite. I'd recommend pairing the matcha with sweet coffee, and the caramel with something bitter like an Americano or latte.

First, the matcha — a matcha flavor that wouldn't lose to any matcha cookie anywhere, with cream that's bitter too, the kind that would bring matcha lovers to tears. I'd recommend eating it with a sweet coffee 🔥

The caramel hit with a strong caramel flavor the moment I took a bite. So I'd recommend having it with a slightly bitter coffee like an Americano or latte 🥰🥰

The yellow cheese and strawberry were both super tasty too :) Pure healing with a cup of coffee. Being a soft cookie rather than a crispy one meant you could taste more of the flavor and richness, and it went so well with coffee that I think I'll keep thinking about it whenever I'm at Gangnam Station haha.
