Robatayaki Sodam Guro Digital Complex Branch is a Japanese-style izakaya on the 2nd floor of 97-3 Digital-ro 32-gil, Guro-gu, Seoul. It's open 17:00–01:30 and takes Naver Reservations. It's known as one of the best izakaya bars in Guro for its side dishes, so here's my visit review. Robatayaki Sodam is a well-known Japanese restaurant that started with a Yeouido location and opened this second branch in Guro. Being able to talk privately with your party felt like a big advantage. There's also a bar table, where you can watch the fresh seafood right in front of you while you eat — a different kind of fun. The place is really spacious and comfortable, so it seems great for group dinners or gatherings too. For group dinners there's actually a separate room. ### The fish aging fridge and seafood display at Robatayaki Sodam They said they age the fish, and I got to see the actual aging fridge right inside the store — it was fascinating. Genuinely cheap. Perfect for the first drink — nice and cold, exactly what I wanted to start with. This place is great for yuzu highballs. The yuzu flavor is really strong and you barely taste the alcohol, so I think it'd be good even for people who don't drink much. And they even bring out a fried egg as a complimentary side dish — perfect with beer. I prefer thick-cut sashimi, and here the slices were stacked nice and thick, which I loved. The fish looked so fresh that I'm sure they'd grill it beautifully. There's also a wide range of drinks to try, and having separated seating let us talk independently without being right next to other tables.
