Since we were visiting with a child, I looked at the atmosphere and menu as well as the food. Each table had a tablet for ordering, so we could take our time looking through the menu. There were also several kinds of naengmyeon, including pollock naengmyeon, mul naengmyeon, and bibim naengmyeon. I also noticed that they offered premium Suhyangmi rice rather than regular steamed rice. Suyuk gukbap also looked like a good option when dining with a child. Since it comes with both rice and soup, it seemed like an easy choice at a Korean restaurant with a young child. It was much more tender than I expected. It was moist rather than chewy, which I liked, and it went well with the kimchi served alongside it. There was plenty to wrap it with according to your taste: napa cabbage kimchi, green onion kimchi, seasoned kimchi for wrapping in perilla leaves, garlic, Cheongyang chili peppers, salted shrimp, and ssamjang. The meat was so tender that I thought about giving Taebaek a little, but he was asleep that day and never got to try it. Still, based on the texture I had, it seemed soft enough that it would not be too difficult for a young child to eat. ## Sharing pollock naengmyeon and mul naengmyeon The pollock naengmyeon came with seasoned pollock meat, shredded radish, and a soft-boiled egg over spicy sauce. The seasoning was not just aggressively hot; it had a savory depth that made it good with the bossam. Having the pollock meat with it gave it a different flavor from cold noodles on their own. It came with noodles and sliced pressed meat in a clean broth, making it easy to enjoy something lighter. It was also good for sharing several dishes alongside the bossam. Ordering naengmyeon with one serving of bossam made for a pretty filling meal. ## Why it worked well with a child I visited Sosa Myeonok, Gunja Branch while looking for a good restaurant near Children’s Grand Park after our visit. Being able to have bossam and naengmyeon together made it a nice place for a meal after a day at the park with a child.
