I always struggle with what to order as a drinking snack, so having this many options at this Samdeok-dong-area Daegu bar was really nice. Sometimes I work nights or just want a relaxed drink at dawn, but there was never anywhere to go except gamjatang or bean sprout soup places. I glanced around to see what other people were eating... everything looked good, so I just picked what I usually like. I haven't been drinking much lately so I almost skipped it, lol, but the food looked so good I ordered a matcha draft beer anyway... Is it a drink? Is it alcohol? Haha. I tasted it and it was sweet beer. I eat tteokbokki often, so I was curious how theirs would taste. The spiciness was just right in the tteokbokki... ahh. You really have to try it. I usually only eat spicy boneless dakbal, not the soup version. This was my first time trying the soupy kind, and at first I thought, why would anyone eat this, lol — but then I got it. It seems like it would have even more atmosphere on a rainy day... the kind of place you want to visit when you've had a stressful day and just want to chat over drinks without thinking too much.
