My mom said she was craving Korean food, so while looking for somewhere to eat comfortably as a family in Gyeongsan, we ended up at Bapeul Jitda Gyeongsan Main Branch~ It's a place where you can enjoy a full Korean course as a set table, so it's worth keeping in mind for a meal with parents or a family gathering. Best of all, the parking lot was spacious, which made it easy to visit by car.

The exterior gave a clean first impression right away, and there was a large private parking lot, so we didn't have to worry about parking at all.

There were also private rooms and group seating, so it looked great for family dinners or meals with a larger group. The whole place was tidy overall and the tables had comfortable spacing, so it felt easy-going rather than stiff and formal — even though it could hold a somewhat formal atmosphere. It seemed like it could even work for a meeting-the-parents type occasion~

Bapeul Jitda serves food as a full table spread where you can enjoy a main dish along with many side dishes. There are single-item menus and set menus, and we ordered the winter set for 3 that comes with tot hot stone pot rice. The winter 1-person set is 29,000 won.

After ordering and waiting a bit, they laid out the neat side dishes one by one. Ggosiraegi (brown seaweed strands), gopchang-gim (crinkled laver), fried eggplant, steamed abalone, salad, and beef mushroom hotpot were set out first, which was a treat for both eyes and mouth. The fried eggplant was crispy outside and moist inside, pairing really well with the sauce, and dipping the gopchang-gim and ggosiraegi in vinegar-chili sauce reminded me of gwamegi (dried half-dried fish) haha.

We scooped the salad into clean individual dishes first — it had bacon chips, cheese, and dressing on top.

The steamed abalone was big and plump, and my mom ate it happily; I loved that the hotpot had a hint of herbal-medicine flavor to it. Felt like eating a health tonic haha. The chilled boiled pork was clean and refreshing wrapped with the seasoned vegetables~ The food came out quickly, and after a while they brought out the rice too.

Stone pot rice with tot, egg garnish, and vegetables, a spicy doenjang (soybean paste) stew, grilled deodeok, and three side dishes. The rice was a little bland on its own, so I asked for gochujang (chili paste) and mixed it in with the grilled deodeok — perfect match!! The doenjang stew was spicy with tofu in it, exactly my style~~~~~~~

Coffee and tea were available, and there were simple dessert cookies too.

## Verdict: is Bapeul Jitda a good spot for a family meal in Gyeongsan?

Overall, this is a place worth considering if you want a clean Korean meal, or if you're looking for somewhere to host a meal or eat comfortably with your parents. It's easy to park and has group seating and private rooms, so it suited a family gathering or a meal out with parents in Gyeongsan well. After eating, we all agreed it felt clean and light without being greasy, healthy and mild, and easy on the stomach. Next time I'll come back to try other menu items~!
