The seaweed, vegetables, and hint of chili powder freshness blend together for incredible savoriness and umami. I've noticed that older folks always look for barley rice when they come to a Korean restaurant — there must be some nostalgia it brings. My mom, who came with me that day, seemed delighted to see barley rice too — she scooped out a bowl, added some banchan, and mixed it all together. It seems to be a space made for waiting guests during busy seasons. My mom, who came along, was so satisfied that we promised to plan our next family gathering here — that was my trip to Bomseol Hanjeongsik's Gyeonggi Gwangju location. Next time, I'd love to try the soy-marinated crab and kodari. The seafood soy-marinated crab added a special touch, and from the basic banchan onward, there wasn't a single dish that wasn't delicious — the kind of place that makes you look forward to every item on the menu.
