A friend of mine just moved to Bongdam, so I went to visit for a housewarming! Since we were meeting up in the morning, we decided to hit a café first and then go out for lunch later. Right by their new place was Orange Bagel, one of the well-known bagel cafés in Suwon, so I took the chance to check it out!

Here it is! Orange Bagel really has a striking vibe from the outside alone. The parking lot is huge, so even a big group arriving in multiple cars would be totally fine. After parking with ease, in we went to this full-of-character Suwon bagel café!

## Inside Orange Bagel: Halloween decorations

Here's what the inside of Orange Bagel looks like! The moment you step in, it really feels like you've walked into a café abroad. It's decorated beautifully, and since Halloween wasn't far off, they'd done up the whole place with a Halloween theme. There was more to look at than I expected, so we spent a good while just browsing before even ordering coffee and bread.

Here's what the café menu at Orange Bagel looks like. True to the name Orange Bagel, they have items like orange-cano and orange latte. We ordered americano, orange latte, and orange ade. There's also a Good Morning set menu, worth keeping in mind!

Next up, the bagels! Takeout is available, and if you buy 4 bagels you can use this packing box. The box itself was so aesthetically pleasing... it would make a great gift too.

True to being a Suwon bagel café, the variety was massive. There's no way you could choose after just one lap around the display — we must have circled it three times deciding, haha.

## Which bagels to pick, and why they work for brunch

Every single bagel at Orange Bagel looked incredibly appetizing. This place is also pretty famous for brunch, and a lot of their bagels work great as a full meal replacement! The crab and shrimp bagel especially seemed perfect for brunch :)

Garlic, pepperoni, rice crack-sio, scallion bacon — so many different bagel types that it really wasn't easy to choose...! Everything looked delicious no matter what you picked.

### The Laugen bagel: Orange Bagel's top pick

Personally, my number one recommendation is the Laugen bagel! Can you see the salt lightly sprinkled on the surface? The saltiness of the grains, like a salt bread, pairs so well with the nutty flavor of the butter. Sweet and salty done right! It goes perfectly with an americano.

Our orange ade, orange latte, and americano all arrived! The cups here are so aesthetic too... they look so pretty, don't they, haha.

From above, it looks like this. The orange latte has dried orange slices in it, and there were fresh orange slices in the drink too. Even the americano suited the cup perfectly.

## Four bagels with plain cream cheese

Here's what we picked! We tried the Laugen bagel, scallion bacon bagel, potato bagel, rye bagel, and plain cream cheese. Spreading cream cheese on the rye bagel is a total must-try...! So good.

The Laugen bagel was genuinely insane. Chewy yet fluffy, slightly salty on the outside and nutty inside! Such a delicious combination.

If you have bagels left over, Orange Bagel has a self-service packing corner where you can wrap them up to take home :) We ended up ordering more than expected, so we packed some up.

Oh, and this place has an open kitchen, so we got to watch the bagels being made right in front of us. So many staff members were busy at work. That tells you how many customers come through and how fast the bread sells out! I get why it's known as a famous Suwon bagel café :) My friend who came along was really happy too — since I'll probably be visiting often, I'll have to stop by again next time.
