## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a hanok-style ocean-view tea café on the 4th floor of a building a one-minute walk from Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan. On an evening walk the writer, pregnant and unable to drink alcohol, ordered the non-alcoholic tea cocktails Bammaseul Wol (月) and Bammaseul To (土) with Pungwol, the night-only dessert. Suwolgyeonghwa suits a Songjeong night date when both caffeine and alcohol feel like too much.

I recently went to Songjeong Beach and was looking for somewhere with a nice atmosphere in the evening when I found this place — let me introduce Suwolgyeonghwa.

After dinner, I was walking along the beach when Suwolgyeonghwa caught my eye. In the evening, caffeine felt like too much, and at that hour almost every place around only serves alcohol, so as a pregnant woman I was feeling a bit down about it — but this place serves non-alcoholic tea cocktails!! This is it, I thought!

## How far is Suwolgyeonghwa from Songjeong Beach?

Suwolgyeonghwa is about 50m, roughly a 1-minute walk, from Songjeong Beach. It's an easy stop to make naturally while strolling along the sea, so it fits well into a Songjeong trip or date course!

They say it's famous during the day as an ocean-view café where you can see the blue sea and the beach train, but I really loved the calm, quiet nighttime atmosphere too.

Parking is available on the 1st floor of the building.

Suwolgyeonghwa is on the 4th floor, so I headed up the stairs. Climbing to the 4th floor, the sound of the waves and a round moon seemed to greet me warmly.

Suwolgyeonghwa has been listed in the Blue Ribbon Survey for two consecutive years, 2025 and 2026.

## A Songjeong café with hanok-style interiors

![Interior of Suwolgyeonghwa with hanok sensibility](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-03-h8xgg-966.webp)

The name Suwolgyeonghwa (水月鏡花) is said to mean 'the moon reflected on water, the flower reflected in a mirror.'

True to its name, the space felt a bit different from a typical café. It's a space that reinterprets the sensibility and calm mood of a hanok (traditional Korean house) in a modern way, so it felt less like a place to simply drink a beverage and more like a place to experience tea culture while resting for a moment.

Thanks to the soft lighting and calm atmosphere, visiting at night felt even cozier.

If you're looking for a date course in Songjeong where you can talk slowly rather than somewhere loud and bustling, this place would suit you well.

Especially at night, Songjeong Beach creates a relaxed atmosphere for gazing at the sea while chatting, which made it feel even more like a great date spot!

## Why Suwolgyeonghwa works as a Songjeong night date spot

![Suwolgyeonghwa's space visited at night](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-09-dv5y8-966.webp)

Suwolgyeonghwa is right in front of Songjeong Beach, so it's also great for a walk along the shore before going in or after coming out. Like we did, you could plan a night date course during a Songjeong trip: enjoy tea and dessert here, then take a slow walk along the beach afterward.

At the very back of the store there's a round door with a hanok sensibility, and I found myself curious what was inside. I opened the door and went in — the space was decorated so beautifully, and it turned out to be a showroom where you can see the products available at Suwolgyeonghwa.

Once you're inside Suwolgyeonghwa, you pick up a menu and sit wherever you like,

and after looking at the menu, you order at the counter.

The desserts and non-alcoholic tea cocktails you can find in Suwolgyeonghwa's Bammaseul (night stroll) menu. Suwolgyeonghwa is a Songjeong café, a Busan café, where you can enjoy non-alcoholic tea cocktails and Korean-style desserts you won't easily find at a typical café.

## Non-alcoholic tea cocktails you rarely find at other Busan cafés

![Menu of 7 non-alcoholic tea cocktails, one for each day Mon–Sun](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-15-14s43-966.webp)

One of the menu items I was most looking forward to on this visit was the non-alcoholic tea cocktails. There are seven prepared, one for each day from Monday to Sunday. These days there are also plenty of people who don't drink much, and many people — like pregnant women or those on medication — who simply can't have alcohol. For people like this, Suwolgyeonghwa is the perfect choice!!

Since these drinks are made with a tea base, they were noticeably different from typical café drinks.

### What we ordered: Bammaseul Wol and Bammaseul To

![A spread of Bammaseul To and Wol tea cocktails with Pungwol dessert](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-16-wf4hy-1200.webp)

- Bammaseul To [土]
- Bammaseul Wol [月]
- Bammaseul Pungwol dessert

Isn't the presentation really pretty? You get to drink such a pretty drink with a view of Songjeong Beach~! Even the explanation card for the tea cocktails was really nicely designed.

My husband chose Bammaseul Wol [月], a tea cocktail with black tea, yuzu, ginger, and red bellflower root, which tasted like whiskey and reminded him of one — I was surprised to hear it had no alcohol in it at all!

![Bammaseul Wol tea cocktail with black tea and yuzu](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-17-17u70-966.webp)

I'm not sure if the ice was made from plain filtered water, but it was nice that the drink's flavor didn't get too watered down even toward the end.

![Two glasses of Bammaseul tea cocktail by the window](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-18-akl6f-966.webp)

What I ordered, Bammaseul To [土], is a tea cocktail made with hojicha (roasted green tea), malt syrup, and fresh cream — a shaved ice dessert with the deep, roasty flavor of tea added. They told us to dig the spoon in deep for Bammaseul To [土] so we could eat the sikhye (sweet rice punch) shaved ice and cream underneath together.

![Bammaseul To with sikhye shaved ice and cream](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-20-qhhgm-966.webp)

The sweetness of the sikhye and the roasty flavor of the hojicha met the soft cream and it was truly delicious. Being able to enjoy a drink with such atmosphere without drinking alcohol made it really satisfying as a night date course!

![Table setting enjoyed as a night date at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-21-9bi53-966.webp)

Even without alcohol, it was fun being able to enjoy a variety of aromas and flavors just like a cocktail~ If you're a little tired of the usual coffee or ade drinks, I think it would be fun to try something different here.

## Pungwol, the Korean dessert that pairs with tea

At Suwolgyeonghwa, they've prepared not just drinks but Korean-style desserts to enjoy alongside the tea. There are four different flavors: matcha, yuzu, hojicha, and injeolmi (rice cake coated in bean powder). The night-only dessert Pungwol is a monaka dessert with four flavors evoking wind and moon.

![Four-flavor Pungwol monaka dessert](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe/songjeong-night-non-alcohol-tea-cocktail-cafe-22-1dk7r-966.webp)

- Matcha – deep, vivid bitterness of green tea.
- Injeolmi – a soft, cozy, nutty flavor that wraps around you.
- Hojicha – the lingering depth of nuttily roasted tea.
- Yuzu – a subtly spreading citrus aroma across the palate.

Four flavors sit on top of the crispy monaka wafer, and eating the yuzu flavor last gave a refreshing finish!

## Looking for a slightly special café in Busan?

What impressed me about Suwolgyeonghwa on this visit was that it's not simply a pretty ocean-view café, but a space where you can experience tea, Korean-style desserts, hanok sensibility, and the Songjeong sea all together. In particular, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something different, thanks to the non-alcoholic tea cocktails you won't easily find at other cafés, along with a variety of tea menus and K-desserts!
