## In short

Sammiri Makguksu is a self-made buckwheat noodle restaurant that recently opened in Jamwon-dong, Seocho, Seoul. Visiting on a weekday late evening with family, the writer had dongchimi makguksu (chilled radish-broth buckwheat noodles), sesame-oil bibim makguksu, and a half-plate of crispy mandu, finding the noodles springy rather than easily snapping. The crispy-outside, juicy-inside mandu turned out to be the most satisfying part of this Sinsa Station Korean restaurant.

Sammiri Makguksu (삼미리막국수) is a new spot in Jamwon-dong near Sinsa Station — here's my write-up from a weekday late-evening visit~

I went for dinner after work with my family, and from the noodles to the mandu (dumplings), everything felt clean and light, good enough even for a solo lunch or a casual Korean meal. Since the buckwheat noodles are made in-house, the texture was noticeably different from typical makguksu, and honestly, the fried mandu was seriously delicious.

The interior is bright and the tables are neatly arranged, so eating alone isn't awkward at all — it actually looked like a solid spot for a solo lunch.

Pickled radish comes out as a default side dish~ and soy sauce for dipping the mandu is served too.

### Menu and prices

- Perilla oil makguksu ₩12,000
- Sesame oil bibim makguksu ₩12,000
- Dongchimi makguksu ₩12,000

The menu centers on Korean-style makguksu, so ordering and eating are fairly simple — a good option to recommend for office workers' lunch near Sinsa Station!

We visited as a family after work, and when a heavy dinner menu feels like too much, the makguksu-and-mandu combo is just right.

## Refreshing dongchimi makguksu

![Dongchimi makguksu topped with garnish and perilla powder](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner-10-1uwhl-966.webp)
*₩12,000*

Just looking at it feels refreshing — buckwheat noodles, toppings, and perilla seed powder float on chilled dongchimi (radish water kimchi) broth.

The broth is tangy without being too sharp, with a subtle nutty depth from the perilla seeds, making it easy to finish cleanly to the last drop.

What stood out most was the noodles — being house-made, they didn't have the usual tendency of buckwheat noodles to snap easily. They had just the right springiness, which made slurping them a lot more satisfying!

## Savory sesame-oil bibim noodles

![A bowl of sesame-oil bibim makguksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner-14-1sa1k-966.webp)
*₩12,000*

The sauce leans sweet-and-spicy rather than fiery, with sesame oil adding a nutty richness — an easygoing style that works for almost anyone.

![Buckwheat noodles mixed with sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner-16-asyf2-966.webp)

The noodles mixed well with the sauce without going mushy or breaking apart, which made the texture especially good when eaten as bibim (mixed noodles).

![A chopstick-full of bibim makguksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner-17-1tuir-966.webp)

![Sharing two bowls of dongchimi and bibim makguksu](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner-18-vc6d4-966.webp)

If the dongchimi noodles are cool and light, the bibim version is richer and bolder — so I'd recommend ordering one of each to share!

## Recommended side: crispy fried mandu

![A half-plate of crispy fried mandu](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner-19-105u0-966.webp)
*Crispy fried mandu half-plate ₩4,000*

And surprisingly, the tastiest thing of all was the ₩4,000 half-plate of crispy fried mandu..! Fried fresh after ordering, the outside is truly crispy while the inside stays juicy and moist.

![Cross-section of a mandu with a crispy exterior](https://img.superchart.com/images/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner/sinsa-station-buckwheat-noodles-family-dinner-20-ul1fl-966.webp)

Honestly, I was satisfied enough to call this place a mandu spot..!! Since you can order a half-plate, it's great to pair with a single bowl of makguksu when eating solo, and easy to add more plates when dining with family.

If you're looking for an easy dinner with family after work, or a clean solo meal near Sinsa Station, this newly opened Korean restaurant is worth recommending~
