On a weekend when the fireworks festival was happening, we spent such a fancy weekend listening to music at a classy jazz bar while working through a course meal and drinks ..♡ Let me introduce it right away.

## 5th floor between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, getting there

It's near the restaurant street by Gangnam Station, so it's easy to reach on foot. We were headed to the Han River that day too, so we got off at Gangnam Station and dropped by! It's roughly between Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon, so either station works.

It's on the 5th floor, so head into the building and take the elevator up. If you're curious about that day's lineup or menu, take a peek at the sign before you go up~

## Saturday show times: 4pm, 7pm, 9:40pm

Once you go up to the 5th floor, you can check the full performance schedule for the month! We visited on a Saturday, and there were shows at 4pm, 7pm, and 9:40pm. It varies by day of the week, so I recommend checking before you come.

## Entering at 3pm opening, sitting in the second row

The tables inside range widely from 2-person to 6-person group seating! They're usually set up facing the stage. We came in right at opening at 3pm, but the very front row felt a bit embarrassing haha, so we decided to sit in the second row and enjoy the show from there.

The instruments were set up at the front of the stage, and since the first set was at 4pm, we decided to spend about an hour tasting the food and chatting as a couple. Around 3:30 the first-set performers had a bit of time to tune up together before starting right at 4.

## Cover charge and ordering the classic course

The cover charge is ₩10,000 during happy hour (weekends 3–6pm) and ₩15,000 during peak time. That day we ordered the classic course for one person. The items included in the course can be swapped, and we started off with a non-alcoholic drink haha. For two people it's plenty filling all the way through dessert.

First up, a toast with non-alcoholic cocktails each! The tangy flavor really woke up our appetite before the meal.

### Amuse-bouche potato dish

Then the amuse-bouche came first — a potato dish topped with a tangy sauce. From the look of it I couldn't guess what it would taste like, but the crispy, soft potato paired with the tangy lemon sauce worked beautifully together.

### Squid salad and focaccia

Second came a squid salad along with the bread that starts the meal. The plating was genuinely.. ㅠㅠ almost too pretty to eat. The bread is focaccia served with balsamic oil. It was warm and fluffy, and even the oil was so good I finished one piece in no time, but I kept one aside since it's also great with the lasagna sauce.

### Margarita frozen, delicious even for a lightweight

Midway through, we craved something cool and sweet, so we ordered the margarita frozen! The atmosphere and food practically call for a drink. Both my husband and I are lightweights, but it was genuinely delicious, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a nice drink but dislikes anything bitter.

### Lasagna loaded with cheese

Next came the lasagna. They didn't hold back on the cheese and ragu sauce, so by this point we were already getting a bit full.

By the time we were eating the lasagna, the show had started, so we alternated between listening to the music and eating while the piano accompaniment played, taking it slow. Somehow they timed it so the next dish arrived right as we finished the previous one.

### Jeju black pork tenderloin steak

And finally, the steak came out! Whoa, a look I'd never seen before — the most tender thing I've had in my life. It was Jeju black pork tenderloin steak, and maybe it was sous vide, but it wasn't piping hot — just warm and so tender it genuinely surprised me (the first step toward a more refined palate).

### Choco mousse cake requested via tablet

Once we felt like we'd more or less finished, tapping the dessert request on the tablet gets it brought right out. Choco mousse cake ㅠㅠ genuinely rich chocolate. My chocolate-obsessed husband wiped it out while he was momentarily distracted listening to the music.

## Flat Nine date, best for days like this

I think it'd be amazing to come here on a special day, or on a rainy day for me. It's a place that forces a romantic mood into existence even if you didn't have one to begin with. The service from the staff was... you really feel taken care of. Service, music, and food — we left having had every box checked ㅠㅠ♡. We filled up on romance here and then went to the fireworks afterward and ended up arguing haha, but if you want to fill a relaxed weekend with romance, definitely check out a jazz bar!!
