So many of you must wonder "what should we eat for lunch?" after relaxing at Forest Resom and checking out. This place not only serves a neat, well-set table but also offers a Resom pickup service, so I could go without worrying about driving at all! Located near Forest Resom in Jecheon, Deojinji catches the eye with its elegant red brick and clean exterior. Before it reaches your table, a specialist grills the galbi directly over charcoal, browning it as if smoking it. From salad to seasoned vegetables to kimchi, every dish was clean and neatly presented. The soy marinated crab (ganjang gejang) and spicy marinated crab (yangnyeom gejang) served as basic sides were the perfect rice thieves! Finally, the Damyang-style handmade charcoal galbi, browned to perfection over charcoal, arrived sizzling on a hot plate! I cut it into bite-sized pieces and took a taste — the moment I bit in, juicy meat juices and deep charcoal smoke flavor filled my mouth. The sweet-savory marinade wasn't overpowering and had a nice nutty flavor, so whether I dipped it lightly in the special sauce or wrapped it in fragrant lettuce with garlic, it was incredibly satisfying. ### Finishing with yuksam naengmyeon in icy broth After the meat, of course you need to finish with cool naengmyeon (cold noodles)! It arrived in a neat brassware bowl with icy-cold broth, and the broth was really clean and refreshing. You can walk away with small gifts kids love, like Pororo drinks, which made even the very end of the meal fun. If you're looking for a lunch spot after checking out of Forest Resom, or if you want to enjoy proper charcoal galbi and crab set meals in Jecheon, I strongly recommend Deojinji!
