## In short

Momiji Seolleung Branch is an izakaya on Samseong-ro 85-gil near Seolleung Station in Gangnam, Seoul, where every seat is in a private room. Visiting with two friends, the writer ordered salmon sashimi for 37,000 won, yukhoe maki (raw beef roll) for 30,000 won, Sichuan-style karaage for 24,000 won and five kinds of yakitori for 18,000 won, and the thick-cut salmon and generously filled yukhoe maki stood out most. I've been keeping a record of my delicious, sweet daily life through restaurant tours :D This time I went to Momiji Seolleung Branch, a spot near Seolleung Station.

![Main photo of the Momiji Seolleung Branch izakaya](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-01-1e9tq-1200.webp)

When making dinner plans in Seolleung after work, it's surprisingly hard to find a place that's good — good food, but also somewhere we can talk among ourselves without worrying about the table next to us! This time I visited Momiji Seolleung Branch, which I'd heard has every single seat set up as a separate room, and I was so curious whether it was just an izakaya near Seolleung with nice vibes, or if the food would actually satisfy too haha.

![Japanese-style side dishes ordered at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-02-1hsjq-800.webp)

I tried a good variety, from salmon sashimi to yukhoe maki, Sichuan-style karaage, and yakitori~😋 If you're looking for a quiet spot for a date or a work dinner in Seolleung, take this as a reference :)

## Where is Momiji Seolleung Branch, and what are the hours?

![Entrance to Momiji Seolleung Branch on Samseong-ro 85-gil near Seolleung Station](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-03-z9pab-899.webp)

Momiji Seolleung Branch is located at 43 Samseong-ro 85-gil, 3rd floor, unit 1, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's open weekdays 11:20 - 24:00 with a break time from 14:00 - 17:00, and Saturdays 16:30 - 23:00. It's closed on Sundays.

Weekday last order at Momiji Seolleung Branch is listed as 13:00 for lunch and 23:00 for dinner.

*The nearby parking lot staff pointed us to during our visit to Momiji Seolleung Branch*

Since it's near Seolleung Station in Gangnam, it's also a decent spot to set for after-work meetups or dinner gatherings. Parking on-site is limited, so if you're driving, it's more convenient to check a nearby paid lot in advance. The staff pointed us to the Seonjeongneung public parking lot, which charges ₩400 per 10 minutes for under 2 hours and ₩600 per 10 minutes after that. (Unfortunately it's a bit far, though 😅)

## Is every seat at Momiji Seolleung Branch really a private room?

Yes, Momiji Seolleung Branch has no open hall tables — every seat is run as a private room. This was the part I liked most.

![Private room seating at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-05-18a4y-900.webp)

With each room divided off, the atmosphere felt much more comfortable for chatting with your group over the meal than a bar where you're conscious of the conversation around you.

![Interior of a partitioned room at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-06-12hm7-900.webp)

![Calm-mood room space at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-07-9r3vf-900.webp)

The interior felt clean and calm too, so it seemed like a good fit for anyone looking for a Seolleung date spot, or for a quiet setting for a work dinner or family meal. It leaned more toward a mood where you can enjoy food and conversation comfortably, rather than a loud, flashy izakaya.

## Momiji Seolleung Branch menu and prices

![Japanese menu board at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-08-1ygzy-900.webp)

Momiji Seolleung Branch had a wide range of Japanese-style dishes, from sashimi to yakitori and kushiyaki.

![Today's sashimi sign at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-09-19i9z-766.webp)
*Momiji Seolleung Branch's today's sashimi sign!*

The signature seasonal assorted sashimi (small) is ₩55,000, sweet shrimp with sea urchin is ₩58,000, and the assorted kushiyaki set of 10 kinds is ₩35,000.

![Menu price list at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-10-1acf5-789.webp)

The dishes I ordered with my friends were

- Sichuan-style karaage (fried chicken) ₩24,000
- Salmon sashimi ₩37,000
- Yukhoe maki (raw beef roll) ₩30,000
- 5 kinds of yakitori ₩18,000

I picked a good variety — sashimi, maki, fried food, and skewers.

## How did the salmon sashimi and yukhoe maki taste?

### Salmon sashimi, 37,000 won

The salmon sashimi at Momiji Seolleung Branch wasn't thinly sliced — each piece was on the thicker side.

*The salmon sashimi, a signature dish at Momiji Seolleung Branch*

It was clean with no fishy taste, and had a chewy texture when I bit into it, which felt a bit more upscale than the salmon I usually get at all-you-can-eat salmon sushi places.

![Picking up a piece of salmon sashimi](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-13-115hm-900.webp)

![Close-up of the salmon sashimi plate at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-14-pv8yx-817.webp)

As someone who loves salmon, that thick, substantial texture was very much to my taste.

### Yukhoe maki (raw beef roll), 30,000 won

Of everything we ordered that day, I really want to recommend the yukhoe maki haha🤤

![Yukhoe maki generously filled with raw beef at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-15-dyxd8-854.webp)

Looking inside the roll, the yukhoe (raw beef) was packed in generously, so with just one bite you could really taste the yukhoe flavor.

![Cross-section of the yukhoe maki](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-16-16o3p-900.webp)

![Yukhoe maki served as a whole roll](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-17-1oi3a-900.webp)

If three people are also ordering other dishes, one full roll of yukhoe maki is on the larger side, so

![Picking up a piece of yukhoe maki](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-18-1m135-757.webp)

if you're having it as a side dish, ordering the half portion should be plenty.

![Sichuan-style karaage at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-19-10bd2-899.webp)

### Sichuan-style karaage, 24,000 won

At first glance it looks similar to Korean sweet-spicy fried chicken.

![Close-up of the spicy Sichuan-style karaage](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-20-zeoc4-900.webp)

Unlike that dish, which is mostly about sweetness, this one was slightly spicy with a good savory depth, and left a smoky, charred note at the end — great as a side for beer or highballs.

### Five kinds of yakitori, 18,000 won

![Set of 5 kinds of yakitori at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-21-1neuy-900.webp)

A set of five: chicken thigh, chicken with scallion, tsukune (chicken meatball), chicken wing, and chicken skin! The outside was grilled to a nice crisp, and since each skewer was a different part, it was fun to eat them one after another.

## Is Momiji Seolleung Branch worth a visit? Final verdict

![Full table spread in a room at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-22-s60o3-859.webp)

Momiji Seolleung Branch, a Gangnam spot, was a good place to keep in mind for days when you want to enjoy a proper meal with drinks in a private room, rather than just grabbing food and leaving at a regular bar.

![Salmon sashimi and yukhoe maki placed together on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-23-ff1li-840.webp)

With clean dishes like the salmon sashimi alongside yukhoe maki, karaage, and yakitori, it was easy to pick and choose a variety of dishes. Most of all, since every seat is a private room, this was a Seolleung izakaya with clear advantages for dates, work dinners, or family gatherings in Seolleung where conversation matters.

![Wrapping up the meal at Momiji Seolleung Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki/momiji-seolleung-salmon-sashimi-yukhoe-maki-24-1qgd4-m-843.webp)

If you're driving, just check the parking lot location ahead of time! If I ever have a quiet dinner plan in Seolleung again, I think I'll think of this place again because of the rooms :)

A Seolleung izakaya restaurant that stuck with me for its sashimi and yakitori, plus the private rooms that made it easy to chat comfortably with my group!
