Hunta, this Euljiro restaurant, is a 2-minute walk from Euljiro-ipgu Station and a 5-minute walk from City Hall Station — close to the subway, and it's on the 1st floor of the FastFive building in the Dadong restaurant alley!

### Solo lunch at Hunta Euljiro's single-person counter seats

The interior has this black-toned, stylish and clean vibe ✨ There was a group reservation in the hall this day, and since I came alone I sat at the single-person seat — I love solo dining so I'm always so happy when a place has solo seats 🖤

## Hunta Euljiro's menu and what I ordered

Let's look through the menu first ~.~ I ordered the limited-quantity sangdeungsim katsu set (premium loin cutlet), which I couldn't get last time because it was sold out, plus 2 pieces of cheese katsu 🧡 They also sell a kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) set at lunch where you get tonkatsu and kimchi jjigae together 🤤 Definitely trying that next time,,

## How does the 17,000-won sangdeungsim katsu set taste?

Ta-da ~~ the sangdeungsim katsu set arrives ✨✨ Sangdeungsim katsu (17,000) & cheese katsu 2p (3,500). The cross-section, with fat and meat layers so clearly divided, looked so gorgeous and delicious I gasped ..🥹 The cheese katsu was super thick too — total looker ෆ

Honestly this might be the best-looking tonkatsu I've had in a while 🤤

### What comes with the sangdeungsim katsu set

The sangdeungsim katsu set comes with diced radish kimchi, tonkatsu sauce, salt (Cerusal lake salt), green onion kimchi, mustard, wasabi, clear broth, a bowl of rice, and corn salad 💛

I had the regular loin katsu last time, but the sangdeungsim (premium loin) definitely has that chewy gabrisal (pork cheek meat) attached to the loin, a special cut — the combo of rich, fatty flavor and lean, clean meat was so good, with layers of different textures and that deep signature flavor of black pork ,,🤤🧡

## Adding 2 pieces of cheese katsu for 3,500 won

And the cheese katsu I added on to the set!! Packed with cheese, chunky and thick, and only 3,500 won for 2 pieces ,, so glad I added it ෆ

The cheese stretched out all melty and savory and so good, and the meat wrapped around it was delicious too — totally satisfied ..🤍 Crispy outside, tender inside, so good!!

## What time does the sangdeungsim katsu sell out?

After I finished eating, it was just before noon, and when I checked the tablet menu again, the sangdeungsim katsu was already sold out..? The table behind me was disappointed to hear a menu item had already sold out ㅠㅠ If you want the sangdeungsim katsu, I'd recommend visiting before 11:50am!! Or otherwise, coming right around dinner opening time ~.~ (I asked and they said lunch and dinner each have their own limited quantity)

If you work near Euljiro-ipgu or City Hall, note that there's a prepay discount with Jangbu Sikdang and a business card event running right now too ෆ

For anyone near Euljiro-ipgu, City Hall, or Gwanghwamun looking for a tonkatsu spot — Hunta Euljiro branch! The sangdeungsim katsu, crispy outside and tender and juicy inside, comes highly recommended. It's popular enough to get waits at weekday lunch, so if you're a tonkatsu lover like me, I strongly recommend Hunta 🖤
