## In short

Moshi Moshi PNU Branch is a Japanese sushi restaurant in Jangjeon-dong, Geumjeong-gu, Busan, right near Pusan National University. Lunch here was Set 1, which brings 16 pieces of sushi plus al-bap (rice topped with fish roe) and one noodle dish — udon on this visit — and the dining room was full of lunchtime diners. Jangjeon-dong favorite Moshi Moshi PNU Branch — a Busan National University lunch of 16-piece sushi, al-bap, and udon set.

I was wondering what to eat for lunch today and suddenly craved sushi, so I headed to Moshi Moshi PNU Branch, a well-known spot in Jangjeon-dong. There are so many restaurants around PNU that picking a lunch spot can actually be harder than you'd think. This time I wanted something clean and simple rather than a rice dish, so sushi it was.

I visited during lunch hour specifically, and the place was completely packed with customers. Clearly this is a go-to lunch spot for a lot of people near PNU.

## What comes with Set 1 at Moshi Moshi PNU?

I went with Set 1. It comes with 16 pieces of sushi, al-bap (seasoned rice with fish roe), and a choice of one noodle dish — I picked udon. It's not just sushi on its own but a full combo of 16-piece sushi plus al-bap plus udon, which seemed like plenty for a full lunch.

I also liked that you get all of this without having to order multiple menu items separately.

## Why sushi for lunch near Pusan National University

Visiting at lunchtime, plenty of people were clearly there for a proper meal. Around PNU there are tons of students, office workers, and people running errands nearby, so there's a huge range of lunch options. Sushi felt like a solid choice among them — filling without being heavy.

Personally, when I eat sushi I prefer it not to end with just raw fish — I like having warm soup or rice alongside it. That's why I went with the set menu instead of ordering sushi on its own this time.

After a short wait, everything arrived and the table looked full, which was nice to see. With 16 pieces of sushi plus al-bap and udon, it was more filling than I expected.

## The 16 pieces of sushi, one by one

Sushi is naturally what I reached for first. With several kinds on one plate, it was fun picking through my favorites one by one. There was enough variety to compare flavors rather than sticking to just one or two types.

I tend to dip lightly in soy sauce since too much can overpower the fish, so I ate slowly, dipping each piece just a little.

At first I figured 16 pieces would be enough for lunch, but with the al-bap and udon on top, I ended up much fuller than expected. Sushi alone might have left me a little unsatisfied, but the set definitely felt like a complete meal.

## Al-bap makes the Moshi Moshi set filling

After working through some of the sushi, I moved on to the al-bap. Switching between sushi and al-bap gave a nice change of pace. The al-bap had a satisfying pop of texture and a nutty flavor that paired well between bites of sushi.

Having the al-bap there kept things from feeling one-note — rather than just eating sushi non-stop. I generally prefer lunches with a bit of variety rather than one single dish the whole way through.

It made me want to come back and try one of the other set menus next time.

## Hot udon to finish the set

And finally, the udon. I always appreciate it when a sushi restaurant includes warm udon. After a run of cold sushi, sipping warm udon broth cleanses the palate, and honestly makes the whole lunch feel much more substantial.

Between the noodles and the broth, I kept going even after finishing the sushi and al-bap. In the end I cleared almost everything — sushi, al-bap, and udon. I'd only come in craving sushi, but ordering the set turned out to be the right call.

## Looking for sushi in Jangjeon-dong, Busan?

With so many options around PNU, deciding where to eat can be tricky. Moshi Moshi PNU Branch, which I visited that day, worked well as a PNU lunch spot since you get sushi as the base along with al-bap and udon.

If you're like me and feel that sushi alone isn't quite enough, the set menus are worth a look. The Set 1 I had — 16 pieces of sushi with al-bap and udon — was a full meal on its own.

It's a good option for a lunch date with a friend near PNU, or any day you're craving a clean sushi meal in Jangjeon-dong. After much deliberation over what to eat that day, going with sushi turned out to be a satisfying choice.

These days I tend to prefer lunches where I can try a bit of everything rather than just one dish, and the set menu suited that perfectly. 16 pieces of sushi, al-bap, and warm udon — a combination worth trying if you like sushi.

If you're near PNU craving sushi, or looking for a Jangjeon-dong or PNU lunch spot, give Moshi Moshi PNU Branch a try. Thanks to this sushi lunch after a while, I left full and satisfied. Next time I'd like to try some of the other sushi menu items.
