There were also seats set up for larger groups, so it looked good for office workers nearby to visit as a group. You can freely help yourself to more side dishes from the self-bar. There was plenty of lettuce and perilla leaves too, so it was easy to add more while eating the boiled pork. Free rice refills are only available during lunch, from 11am to 2pm. Since we visited in the evening, we ordered two extra bowls of rice separately. It was warm and mild, good for gently warming up the stomach, and had plenty of rice grains in it. As each dish was set down, the table filled up fast. The tangy-spicy seasoning livened up the appetite, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds added extra flavor. It was tasty on its own, but the combination was especially good eaten with the boiled pork or wrap vegetables. The white kimchi served alongside was cool and clean. After eating the spicy squid salad and stir-fried squid, a bite of white kimchi refreshed the palate. ### Flower pork belly boiled pork The flower pork belly boiled pork came thickly sliced and arranged in a circle with sauce in the center. It could be warmed up right at the table, so it stayed warm throughout the meal. Biting in, the crispy batter gave way to plump squid. The squid wasn't chewy and the batter wasn't too thick, so it was easy to keep reaching for more. It was good dipped lightly in soy sauce, and also worked well eaten between bites of the spicy stir-fried squid. The portion was generous enough to share with a friend. ### Griddle-fried squid stir-fry The stir-fried squid arrived on a hot griddle. The vegetables were evenly seasoned too, so it was good to pick up together with the squid. We wrapped the flower pork belly boiled pork with perilla leaves, white kimchi, and spicy squid salad, and ate the stir-fried squid with rice, so each dish offered a different combination to enjoy. With two of us visiting, the portions were generous enough to fill the whole table. After finishing the meal, we also had some ice cream set up near the entrance. Ending with cool, sweet ice cream after the spicy stir-fried squid was a great finish. Haetan Seolleung Branch isn't a place with just one stir-fried squid dish — it's a spot where you can enjoy spicy squid salad, fried squid, and flower pork belly boiled pork all in one spread. Each dish is good on its own, and the combination of boiled pork, spicy squid salad, and white kimchi together also worked well. Close to the station with a spacious interior, it's a good option for a dinner with a friend as well as for planning a Seolleung group gathering or work dinner.
