Looking for something different for dinner with a friend, I ended up at an Indian curry restaurant near Samseong Station where you can enjoy naan and tandoori chicken together.

Rather than ordering a curry alone, I wanted the full set with naan, rice, salad, chicken tikka and lassi, so we each picked an A 1-Person Set and added a tandoori chicken half on top for a hearty meal. If you're looking for Indian curry around Samseong Station, this is a place I'd recommend!

I went looking for good Indian food near Samseong Station, and the two curries tasted distinctly different, which made switching between them fun.

The restaurant is on the basement floor of the building. The red sign outside is easy to spot, and the entrance is down a flight of stairs.

Walking into India The Durbar Samseong Station Branch, I found red brick walls, soft lighting and Indian-style decor. The tables weren't cramped together either, and overall it felt like a comfortable place to eat.

The A Set comes with naan, rice, lassi, 2 pieces of chicken tikka and a green salad, with a choice of palak paneer, chicken masala or chicken makhani for the curry. We each picked a different one — chicken makhani and chicken masala — so the flavors wouldn't overlap.

It was set up to be easy for one person to eat, and having both naan and rice meant we could enjoy the curry however we liked. With lassi included too, the portion was more filling than expected.

### Chicken makhani: sweet and creamy

The chicken makhani was sweet and smoothly creamy all the way through. Instead of sharp spice, the flavor centered on a nutty, comforting richness that was great for scooping up generously with naan.

There were also large chunks of chicken in it, so it didn't feel like just sauce.

### Chicken masala: quietly spicy

The chicken masala was spicier than the makhani, with a slightly more distinct spice profile. It wasn't relentlessly hot — a subtle heat rose up through the rich curry, and it hit exactly right for my taste.

Switching back and forth with the sweet makhani made each one's distinct charm stand out even more.

### The naan, rice and chicken tikka in the set

The naan was thin and soft, with a lightly charred flavor at the edges. It tore into hand-sized pieces perfect for piling curry on, and we also spooned curry over the rice. It was a setup that let even Indian curry beginners try it two easy ways.

The chicken tikka included in the set was boneless, so there was no need to pick out bones — easy to eat right away. The outside was deeply seasoned and the inside stayed moist rather than dry. Having the salad alongside also helped reset the palate in between.

## Adding the tandoori chicken half for 13,000 won

The tandoori chicken half we added came on a heated pan lined with onions and bell peppers, cut into four pieces that were easy to share between two people, coated in that deep red tandoori seasoning.

Cutting into a piece, the meat inside was juicy with tender texture. It was well-seasoned enough to eat as is, and dipping it lightly into the accompanying sauce added a sweet-tangy note. Even though the set already includes chicken tikka, the tandoori chicken's bigger, bone-in pieces gave a different texture and eating experience.

## The best order for two people at India The Durbar

Getting to try the sweet, creamy makhani, the spicy masala and the juicy tandoori chicken all in one meal made for a great combination. Each set alone comes with naan, rice, lassi and sides, so you don't need to order a bunch of separate dishes to put together a complete meal.
