It was big enough to fill the whole plate, and having a perilla leaf laid on top of each piece made it look special too. The edges were cooked thin and crispy while the inside kept that chewy potato texture. The perilla leaf gave off a subtle aroma, so it was plenty tasty even just dipped in soy sauce on its own. The signature move here is apparently piling dakgalbi onto the perilla-potato pancake and wrapping it up. The crispy, mild pancake and the richly seasoned dakgalbi worked together better than I expected.
