## In short

Jinsim Wang Donkkasu Hwasun branch is a pork cutlet restaurant on Ssangchung-ro in Hwasun-eup, Hwasun County. The order was one jinsim wang donkkasu (giant pork cutlet), jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles), pepper fritters, and two colas, alternating between the crispy cutlet and the tangy-spicy noodles, with a self-serve bar, a packing counter, and parking all making the visit easy. Service felt a bit rushed, but it was a solid, filling meal overall.

A great pork cutlet spot for a date course in Hwasun

Today I visited a good restaurant in Hwasun — Jinsim Wang Donkkasu (Hwasun branch).

## Location, parking, and hours at Jinsim Wang Donkkasu Hwasun branch

There's a large parking lot inside the building, and you can also park roadside within the white lines!

It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with a break time from 14:30 to 17:00 and last order at 20:20, so keep that in mind when you visit.

While looking for a hearty meal in Hwasun, I ended up at Jinsim Wang Donkkasu.

If you like pork cutlet, this place is worth a visit at least once — the menu is varied and the portions are generous.

## What we ordered — wang donkkasu with jjolmyeon and pepper fritters

This time we ordered one jinsim wang donkkasu, one jjolmyeon, one pepper fritter, and two colas.

![Table set with jinsim wang donkkasu, jjolmyeon, pepper fritters, and cola](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-02-ek6i8-966.webp)

Just the cutlet alone felt like it might not be quite enough, so we also ordered jjolmyeon and pepper fritters,

![Table with wang donkkasu, jjolmyeon, and pepper fritters served together](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-03-1l8dz-1200.webp)

and in the end it was great to be able to try several dishes together.

![Full table of dishes from Jinsim Wang Donkkasu](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-04-hi9zm-966.webp)

## Jinsim Wang Donkkasu — a size that lives up to its name

First, the main dish we ordered — the jinsim wang donkkasu! True to the 'wang' (giant) in its name, its large size caught my eye the moment it arrived.

![A large plate of jinsim wang donkkasu](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-05-2v5rx-966.webp)

Pork cutlet is definitely tastiest when it's warm and crispy right out of the kitchen.

![Freshly served, warm wang donkkasu](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-06-mxrc7-966.webp)

Crispy on the outside with meat packed inside, and eaten with the sauce, it had that familiar yet hearty pork cutlet flavor.

![Cross-section of the wang donkkasu with sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-07-detde-966.webp)

The portion was substantial too, making it a good choice when you really want a proper meal.

These days some places skimp on portion size when you eat out, so it was nice to eat this heartily, true to being a 'wang' cutlet.

## Why pork cutlet and jjolmyeon pair so well

The jjolmyeon we ordered alongside also paired really well with the cutlet.

![Jjolmyeon ordered alongside the pork cutlet](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-08-1ojxe-966.webp)

Since it's fried, eating cutlet continuously can start to feel a bit greasy, right?

That's when a bite of the tangy, spicy jjolmyeon really wakes your palate back up!

![A bowl of tangy, spicy jjolmyeon](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-09-172nt-966.webp)

Personally I like ordering jjolmyeon or bibim-myeon alongside pork cutlet, and once again the combination worked really well.

![Alternating bites of pork cutlet and jjolmyeon](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-10-908ao-966.webp)

Taking a bite of cutlet, then jjolmyeon, then back to cutlet, meant I didn't get tired of eating the way I might with just one dish.

## The side pepper fritters are great for sharing

We also ordered pepper fritters as a side.

![Pepper fritters ordered as a side dish](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-13-2uoic-966.webp)

Ordering cutlet plus jjolmyeon already seemed like enough, but it's hard to just walk past a side menu, isn't it?

![Vertical shot of crispy fried pepper fritters](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-14-7ub66-966.webp)

If you like crispy fried food, it goes well alongside the main dish, and if you're visiting with a group, it's good to order one to share.

Sipping cola in between paired nicely with the fried dishes too.

Overall, the menu felt familiar enough that people of all ages could visit comfortably — a good spot in Hwasun.

It seemed especially good for a family meal if you all like pork cutlet, or when you want to fill up properly.

## Self-serve bar, packing counter, parking — convenient to use

One thing that made the visit convenient was that there's a self-serve bar.

If you need something while eating, you can just grab it yourself, which was handy,

![Self-serve bar at Jinsim Wang Donkkasu Hwasun branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-16-1f5g2-966.webp)

![A self-serve corner inside the restaurant](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-17-1dleb-966.webp)

![The packing counter and self-serve area inside the restaurant](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-18-yzmpr-966.webp)

There's also a separate packing counter, which looked convenient if you have leftovers or need to take food to go.

And if you're driving, parking is quietly one of the most important factors when choosing a restaurant. This place has a parking lot, which made visiting by car convenient — something I liked.

![The parking lot inside the building](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-19-7cz2d-966.webp)

No matter how good the food is, having to circle around looking for a parking spot is tiring before you even sit down, so having less of that hassle made it feel like a good place to visit with family by car.

![Area around the restaurant that's easy to reach by car](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-20-1738h-966.webp)

![Seating inside Jinsim Wang Donkkasu Hwasun branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-21-ff4nz-966.webp)

## What was a little disappointing

If I had to pick one slightly disappointing point, it wasn't the food or the facilities but the service.

![A table during the meal](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-22-13foq-966.webp)

The atmosphere felt a bit busy overall during our visit, and I thought the impression during the meal would have been even better if the service had been a bit friendlier and more relaxed. This may vary depending on the time of visit or the staff.

![The table after finishing the meal at Jinsim Wang Donkkasu](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-23-zf4sw-966.webp)

Still, the food itself was good for filling up generously, and the amenities — self-serve bar, packing counter, parking — were well set up and easy to use.

## How I'd suggest ordering

Rather than just ordering the jinsim wang donkkasu on its own, I'd recommend doing what we did and adding jjolmyeon or

![Sharing the wang donkkasu and jjolmyeon together](https://img.superchart.com/images/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon/hwasun-jinsim-king-pork-cutlet-jjolmyeon-24-1a45t-966.webp)

pepper fritters to share a few different dishes. The crispy cutlet paired with the tangy-spicy jjolmyeon worked so well that I personally felt glad we ordered them together.

If you're craving pork cutlet in Hwasun or looking for a restaurant in Hwasun where you can eat generously, it might be worth trying the wang donkkasu, jjolmyeon, and side dishes together at Jinsim Wang Donkkasu.
