## In short

Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch is a 24-hour gamjatang (pork bone soup) and pork belly restaurant near Bupyeong Station and Bupyeong Market in Incheon. Two of us ordered the small size gamjatang plus fried rice to finish, and even the small size came loaded with meaty bones and potatoes — plenty for two. A great spot for a hearty, spicy soup with a shot of soju.

Whenever I'm near Bupyeong Station craving something hot and spicy, nothing beats gamjatang (pork bone and potato stew) haha. Especially with a shot of soju alongside a soupy dish — it's a filling meal and a good drink at the same time, so it's great for work dinners or get-togethers too!!

This time I visited Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch, near Bupyeong Station and Bupyeong Market. We ordered the small size eolkeuni gamjatang and, of course, finished with fried rice — a really hearty meal.

## The vibe inside and the self-serve bar

Walking in, the tables were generously spaced throughout. There are 48 seats total, and the spacing between tables didn't feel cramped at all — overall a clean, tidy atmosphere ✨✨

Gamjatang is a dish that's great for a group sitting around one pot, so this seems like a solid choice for office dinners or an after-work drink spot!!!😆

![Self-serve bar stocked with dishware and small plates](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-03-1nnsg-900.webp)

On one side there's a self-serve bar set up with the dishware and small plates you might need, ready to grab. When you're eating gamjatang you often end up needing extra small plates or side dishes, so being able to grab exactly what you need was really convenient 👍👍

![Drinks chilled and lined up in the fridge](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-04-jbsfm-900.webp)

The drink selection was nicely chilled too, so you just keep reaching for one... haha

## Menu lineup and choosing a gamjatang size

![Menu guide showing gamjatang sizes](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-06-1uqcd-900.webp)

![Menu board for ppyeohaejangguk and other meal items](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-07-1t9wl-900.webp)

![Menu listing fried rice and noodle add-ins](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-08-1lgqr-900.webp)

![Menu signage on the restaurant wall](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-09-r9yoh-900.webp)

The menu ranges from gamjatang to pork belly, ppyeohaejangguk (pork bone hangover soup), fried rice, and more. Gamjatang comes in small, medium, and large so you can pick based on your group size, and with pork belly and ppyeohaejangguk also on offer, it seems like a great spot for a group where everyone wants something different!!!

After some back and forth, we ordered the small eolkeuni gamjatang as our main dish. (Just the two of us, and it was way too much…)

## Small size eolkeuni gamjatang — enough for two?

![Small size eolkeuni gamjatang with big bones and potatoes](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-10-1jnxb-900.webp)

Even just looking at it, the broth looked thick and spicy ❣️ Big chunks of bone and potato piled generously, with enoki mushrooms and green onion and other ingredients on top in the middle. And the meat on the bones — legendarily generous!!

![A spread of basic side dishes including kimchi](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-11-kpmcy-900.webp)

All the side dishes were delicious too, especially the kimchi — totally my style!!

![Gamjatang bubbling away at the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-12-1p3sp-900.webp)

As it bubbles away, the broth keeps getting richer — cooking it right at the table means you can keep it warm and keep eating for a long time, which I think is one of gamjatang's strengths. They'll keep adding broth if you ask too!!! Great for pairing with soju ✌️✌️

![Gamjatang meat with thick, generous portions on the bone](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-13-1page-1200.webp)
*That's a real amount of meat, right...?*

I took a first spoonful of the broth and immediately got that spicy kick 🤤 But it's not just simple spiciness — you also get gamjatang's signature rich, savory depth, which keeps you coming back for more!!

![A spoonful of the spicy gamjatang broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-14-eqg3f-900.webp)

You can't have gamjatang without the meat on the bones. Picking the meat off a big bone and dipping it in the sauce gave a proper taste of tender, clean-flavored pork. Delicious dipped in the sauce that came with it, and I'd also recommend dipping it lightly into the spicy broth!!

## Ramyeon noodles or fried rice — how do you finish?

Did you know adding ramyeon noodles into gamjatang is basically a legendary move? I only found this out as an adult... It's honestly better than the fried rice ㅠㅠ

![Ramyeon noodles added into the gamjatang broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-17-cz6il-900.webp)

But I can't give up fried rice either, so we ordered fried rice with the leftover broth. Eating fried rice while the gamjatang broth is still there means the rich spicy flavor soaks right into the rice — absolute heaven 😇😇 Even with a pretty full stomach, somehow the fried rice just kept going in ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

![Fried rice stir-fried in the leftover gamjatang broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni/bupyeong-gamjatang-so-bokkeumbap-eolkeuni-18-z5brn-900.webp)

Stir-frying rice in the gamjatang broth lets you enjoy that broth flavor properly right to the very end — a perfect way to finish the meal.

## In summary

Gamjatang and soju just go together, don't they???? haha Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch was a solid place for a filling meal with generous portions and rich, spicy broth!! Even the small size gamjatang was loaded with meat, potatoes, and vegetables, so it worked well for two people wanting a meal plus a drink — and above all, the hot, spicy broth paired perfectly with soju 👍👍
