They also had a wide range of makgeolli (rice wine) plus soju, bokbunja (Korean raspberry wine), and highballs, so it seemed like a great spot to come for dinner and a drink 🍶 ### First drink: the 7,500 won yuzu highball The yuzu highball at Moa Gangnam is 7,500 won and came out first while we waited for our food. Butter melted over the hot pot rice, and there was a generous amount of abalone. There was also a sauce made from abalone innards, and mixing it evenly with the rice and butter brought out a savory, umami richness. The rice itself had a great fluffy texture, and I felt really full and satisfied after finishing a bowl. I love this kind of pot rice dish, so this was totally my thing haha. ### Perilla oil jeotgal pasta, the 15,800 won surprise The perilla oil salted seafood pasta is 15,800 won and was the most unusual dish at Moa Gangnam. The nutty aroma of perilla oil combined with salty jeotgal (salted seafood) and a pollack roe-like flavor for great umami. The noodles had the chewy texture I love, so eating them with the sauce was so good haha. Having pasta at a Korean restaurant like this felt fresh and fun. We put the leftover sauce on the garlic bread that came with it, and it was so tasty haha. ### Cheese lovers: spicy tomato hanwoo cheese tteokgalbi, 19,900 won My absolute favorite dish was the spicy tomato hanwoo cheese tteokgalbi (Korean beef patty) at 19,900 won! First of all, it came loaded with cheese, which I loved lol. Garlic bread came alongside it too haha. The thick tteokgalbi came with spicy tomato sauce and cheese that stretched beautifully — it looked delicious before we even tasted it 🧀 The tteokgalbi itself was thick and juicy, and it went really well together with the pot rice. Turns out I really do have a thing for dishes loaded with cheese lol. Garlic bread came with this one too, so we put the leftover cheese and sauce on it — so, so good haha. ## Can two people finish three dishes at Moa Gangnam? We ordered three dishes at Moa Gangnam, and my husband and I really did clean every plate. We were super full, but strangely I was already curious about the other menu items lol. Since it's fusion Korean, everything felt familiar yet had one or two twists that made eating there fun. It seemed like a solid, filling Korean meal for lunch, and just as good for drinks and dinner — a decent date spot near Gangnam Station. The clean atmosphere and comfortable seating also make it a good pick for blind dates, wedding-invitation get-togethers, or hangouts with friends. Personally, having a happy little chat with my husband by the window while eating something delicious made me really happy 🥰 I want to come back and try the dishes we missed haha.
