## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a tea café overlooking Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan. I tried Spring Waves tea and the Dalbodeure dessert box while choosing teas by scent among spaces filled with gayageum melodies. Verdict: Suwolgyeonghwa is made for a slow, sensory tea break by the sea.

I've visited all kinds of ocean-view cafés while traveling, but Suwolgyeonghwa is one of the places that has stayed with me most 🎐 A place where you can sip tea to gayageum (a traditional Korean zither) melodies while looking out at Songjeong Beach through floor-to-ceiling windows—the Korean sensibility seeps into every corner, and the whole process of seeing, listening, smelling, and tasting felt like an experience in itself ✨

## Suwolgyeonghwa hours and parking

- Hours: daily 11:00–23:00
- Last order: 22:30
- Closed days: none

Once you cross the Gudeokpo underpass in Songjeong, this large red-brick building immediately catches your eye 🧱 🚗 There is free private parking on the first floor, plus a public parking lot directly opposite, so parking in front of the building was easy. (But there is no separate parking support for the public lot opposite.)

### Second- and third-floor entrance

![Suwolgyeonghwa second- and third-floor entrance](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-03-xxne6-900.webp)

> The moon reflected in water, flowers reflected in a mirror

This café won the Blue Ribbon award two years in a row, in 2025 and 2026, and its hanok-inspired warmth blends naturally with a calm, contemporary space 🎀

The moment I pulled back the curtain and stepped inside, the sound effect of waves crashing wrapped around my ears, and I suddenly felt as if I had entered a completely different place 🌊

## Ocean views that change by floor and seat

### Third floor

Even within the same café, Suwolgyeonghwa feels quite different depending on the floor and seat. What I loved most was the gentle music! Recent songs play elegantly in gayageum melodies, and their clear, deep resonance made me feel so calm 🎶

*Counter seats*

Personally, the ocean-view counter seats caught my eye the most. Rather than a place for a group to face one another and chat, these are lovely seats for one person or two sitting side by side, quietly watching the sea over a cup of tea.

On the left are table seats decorated around warm wood tones. They feel a little calmer and more settled than the floor-to-ceiling-window seats, making them nice for lingering over conversation.

![Floor-seating area surrounded by windows](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-05-itz03-900.webp)

The right side is a floor-seating area, with windows on all three sides, so it feels bright and charming overall.

### Fourth-floor ordering and pickup

The fourth floor is one open space with the sea spreading out through the full front windows, and this is where you can order.

Korean-inspired decorative pieces placed throughout blend in so naturally that it was fun to take a slow look around 👀

Further inside, there is also a space where you can buy Suwolgyeonghwa's own premium tea leaves. The packaging is neat and upscale too, so I think they would make lovely souvenirs from a Busan trip 🎁

### Restrooms

![Suwolgyeonghwa restroom](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-08-1nbo7-900.webp)

There are separate men's and women's restrooms on the third floor, and a shared restroom on the fourth. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐⭐️️

- Separate men's and women's facilities 👌🏻
- Toilet paper stocked 👌🏻
- Cleaned 👌🏻
- Hand soap available 👌🏻
- No unpleasant smell 👌🏻

## Premium tea chosen by scent

They blend fresh, high-quality tea leaves themselves, so you can find a range of premium teas here. What I especially liked was that every tea was set out for smelling first 🥸

I could smell them one by one and choose a tea suited to my taste, while the menu explained each tea's aroma and characteristics in detail. Even people who do not know much about tea should be able to choose without difficulty.

## Drinks and Korean desserts

Along with tea, there were coffee, traditional drinks such as ssanghwa-cha (herbal tonic tea), sujeonggwa (cinnamon punch), and sikhye (sweet rice punch), plus plenty of coffee-and-tea combinations.

![Ice cream monaka and Korean desserts](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-12-1374t-1280.webp)

For desserts, there are sets with several varieties as well as ice cream monaka wafers. You can take a dessert set away for an extra ₩2,000, so I highly recommend it as a gift 👍🏻

![Spring Waves premium tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-13-19a8n-900.webp)

### Spring Waves

I loved its fragrance from the moment I smelled it, and when I actually drank it, it suited its name perfectly 🌿 They serve it with tea leaves placed on top, so the color is pretty and you can enjoy the scent first—something for your eyes, nose, and mouth all at once 🌸 The aroma seemed to come alive much more when the tea was warm, so I recommend the hot version.

## Dalbodeure dessert box

![Dalbodeure dessert box set](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-14-7bn8k-900.webp)

This is Suwolgyeonghwa's signature dessert set, packing several Korean-style desserts into a box so you can try a variety of flavors. They tell you to eat clockwise from the injeolmi skewer (rice cake coated in soybean powder), and following that order really let me appreciate each dessert properly 🍡

![Dalbodeure dessert box assortment](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-15-zosan-864.webp)

![Korean-style dessert assortment](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-16-1dc8v-900.webp)

Injeolmi skewer: it is familiar injeolmi, but the soybean powder was especially nutty, and the chewy rice cake was topped with a crisp, sweet rice snack—a great combination of chewy and crunchy. Black rice sulbbang: this steamed bread is fermented with black-rice makgeolli rice wine, and I was surprised by how much moister and fluffier it was than expected. It has red beans too, but the sweetness is subtle rather than excessive. I think adults in particular would love this dessert!

*[ Whole red-bean butter monaka ]*

A monaka that felt like a more refined, delicate version of a nutty red-bean-and-butter treat. It has red-bean paste, gourmet butter, glutinous rice cake, and nuts; red bean and butter are a familiar combination, but the nuts and rice cake make it feel much more abundant.

![Myeongran gamtae financier](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-18-1ey2j-900.webp)

![Savory financier dessert](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-19-gejfr-900.webp)

The saltiness of myeongran (pollock roe) and the sea flavor from gamtae seaweed mean that, if this financier had only been sweet, it could have become cloying quickly. Instead, saltiness and an ocean aroma came through amid the sweetness, making the flavor feel much more layered. (This was my number one 🧡)

![Floral ganache monaka](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-20-19kqx-900.webp)

![Chocolate ganache monaka](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-21-1xr8z-900.webp)

This is a floral ganache monaka made with French chocolate. It is small but packed with sweetness, and the choux cream itself was really delicious 💛 After fully enjoying the delicate flavors of the earlier desserts, it felt like finishing with an intense sweetness!

![Desserts arranged like a gift set](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum/songjeong-premium-tea-gayageum-23-50j2p-900.webp)

With interiors carrying the warmth of a traditional hanok, the tea and desserts are also thoughtfully arranged in beautiful packaging like gift sets—perfect as a present for myself or someone precious 💕

## Songjeong Beach makes you want to linger alone

The calm Songjeong sea stretches beyond the windows, 🚃 colorful beach trains pass by, and if you are traveling alone, this is a space that would suit bringing a book to read or slowly writing a letter or journal. The color and mood of Songjeong Beach must change with every season, so I want to visit in spring, summer, autumn, and winter 🍃

Suwolgyeonghwa also has a different atmosphere from daytime: from 7 p.m., they offer non-alcoholic blended teas for their Night Stroll hours, which made me curious. On my next Busan trip, I am definitely stopping by again for Night Stroll 🌙

Suwolgyeonghwa was especially memorable because it is not simply an ocean-view café looking out at Songjeong Beach; you can enjoy gayageum music, the fragrance of tea leaves, and Korean desserts with all five senses 🌊 I really recommend it for a Busan trip with parents or international friends alike—they would be so pleased ✨
