## A leisurely brunch in Gwangalli

After running errands in Gwangalli and looking for a relaxed brunch spot a little past lunchtime, I visited Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch. There are so many pretty cafés around Gwangalli these days, but when you want somewhere that offers proper brunch as well as coffee—not just coffee—you surprisingly have a lot to think about. This was a Gwangalli brunch café where I loved everything from the atmosphere to the menu lineup, haha.

## A warm, wood-toned space filled with natural light

The first thing that caught my eye as soon as I walked in was the atmosphere! The paintings on the walls, plants placed around the room, and even the large flowers beside the counter were all lovely little details, so it was fun simply looking around the space.

Natural light comes in through the large windows too, so it would be such a great place to photograph brunch during the day, haha. The whole space is decorated in warm wood tones, and the tables and chairs are clean without feeling overly styled. Best of all, the tables are wonderfully spacious, which made eating so comfortable..

There is a self-service area where you can pick up napkins, wet wipes, plates, and more, which was also super convenient at Famous Benny, this great Gwangalli spot~~

Once everything filled the table, it looked so pretty from the start.. haha. Brunch is always happiest when all the food comes out at once. It did not even feel like 10 minutes had passed after ordering. Now that is fast food, haha!

## The Famous Benny, with bacon

First up was The Famous Benny, which felt like the signature menu item! I chose bacon, and it arrived as a seriously generous plate. Fresh vegetables, avocado, bacon, and more filled the plate, and the visual alone made me understand why “Famous” is in the name, hehe.

The large radicchio piled on top especially made it feel much more glamorous than the brunch dishes I usually have.

Underneath were croissant, chicory, a poached egg, bacon, avocado, flakes, and more, so every bite made my mouth feel full of varied, abundant flavors. It tasted like a truly, truly delicious Gwangalli brunch spot.ㅠㅠ

## Smoked salmon toast with my favorite look

And then the smoked salmon toast, personally my favorite in terms of looks!

A generous layer of smoked salmon sat on a thick bagel, topped with a mound of vegetables, making it look as appetizing as it was. The salty salmon and fresh vegetables came together in a dish that really delivered that light, refreshing brunch feeling.

It came with sauce too, so it was much more moist and enjoyable than eating the bagel alone, and it paired so well with an Americano. Add the poached egg as well and it was truly the perfect finishing touch, lol.

## An açaí bowl that paired beautifully with brunch

And finally, the açaí bowl! Ordering only two brunch dishes felt a little lacking, but adding another heavy dish seemed like too much, so we ordered it alongside them—and the combination was so good. It was loaded with bananas, berries, granola, nuts, and more, giving it lots of textures and a colorful look that photographed beautifully.

Eating the açaí bowl in between the salty, nutty brunch dishes made my mouth feel refreshed too! If two people are visiting, I would totally recommend sharing two brunch dishes plus one açaí bowl.

Everything was plated so beautifully that once all the dishes were on the table, I simply could not not take photos.. haha. If you are looking for a place in Gwangalli to enjoy proper brunch with coffee, do make sure to visit Famous Benny at least once. I came here because I wanted to eat slowly in a pretty space, and it was especially memorable among the Gwangalli brunch cafés I tried.
