At snow crab restaurants, I always feel a little uneasy, wondering whether my order is being handled properly or whether I am being charged with the basket weight included. But the owner at Gijang Myeongpum Daegae openly and precisely removed the basket weight. He even showed us an example in case we were worried, then honestly weighed snow crabs with a good meat yield in front of us. The table setting fee was ₩5,000 per person. I actually found using the salad bar more convenient than a standard set of side dishes. The salad bar dishes were neatly kept, and the chicken karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) and fried items stayed freshly fried, which was so nice! The staff kept checking on and tidying the salad bar. The owner also gave us four abalone as a complimentary extra, so we ate those too. I worried they might be tough, but they were tender and easy to eat! The owner's thoughtfulness is really something else... 😎👍👍👍 Gijang Myeongpum Daegae serves the snow crab in a mini steamer right on the table, so it stays warm until the very end. Snow crab is delicious even cold, but it is even better warm!
