While looking for a clean, tidy place to eat sushi near Pusan National University, I ended up at Moshi Moshi PNU Branch this time. It has sets where you can eat sushi along with udon, soba, and tempura all at once, so it looked like a good option for lunch or a family meal out. Being able to use the parking lot right next to the store was also convenient for visiting by car.

### Where do you park at Moshi Moshi PNU Branch?

Parking is one of those things that always nags at you when eating out. Moshi Moshi has a separate parking lot entrance right beside the store. You can clearly see the entrance leading into the parking space, which made it comfortable to visit by car. Parking is often a headache when eating near PNU, so this was a real plus.

## The wood-toned dining room at Moshi Moshi

Once inside, the interior was bigger than I expected. The overall wood-finish interior gave it a warm, cozy feel. The ceiling and walls are done in wood, and there are Japanese-style props and lighting scattered around, giving it a different feel from a typical sushi place. There are several tables set up, so it's fine for two people, but it also looked good for a family outing or a group visit.

Inside, the kitchen and sushi prep area were open to view. You could see the ingredients laid out behind the glass showcase, and staff were preparing food according to orders. There's that distinctive open-kitchen sushi-restaurant vibe, so it was fun to watch while waiting for the food.

The menu was more varied than I expected. There are quite a few options, from individual sushi pieces to udon sets, soba sets, sushi sets, sashimi sets, and assorted sushi platters.

The set is made up of sushi 8pc + tempura + udon + vegetable salad + tofu salad, so it's a pretty filling meal. Even in photos, the whole table was covered, and it was more generous than I expected.

The salad with cabbage and red cabbage came with a sweet-and-tangy dressing on top, and a soft tofu salad came alongside it. Having these side dishes come with the meal, instead of just sushi on its own, made the whole spread feel more complete.

Looking at the photo, there's a mix of white fish, salmon, tuna, shrimp, and eel sushi, so you get to try a range of types. The eel sushi in particular stood out visually with a long strip of eel on top. Being able to pick and eat various kinds piece by piece was the strength of the sushi set.

The tempura that came with the sushi was served separately on a wire rack. "Shrimp tempura, sweet pumpkin tempura, sweet potato tempura" — the batter was crispy on top and good to eat alongside the sushi in between bites. Serving the tempura on a wire rack so it didn't get soggy was a nice touch.

And finally, the udon. The broth had fried tofu pouches, mushrooms, and green onion, with a generous amount of tempura flakes on top. Eating the udon along with the sushi made the meal feel much more complete than sushi alone. The warm broth in particular went well with the sushi and tempura.

## What's in the 17,500-won Soba Sushi Set?

And here's what my wife ordered, the Soba Sushi Set. The price is ₩17,500, and as shown in the photo, it comes with sushi 6pc + soba + vegetable salad + tofu salad.

My wife's dish also came with 6 pieces of sushi. There was a variety on top including white fish, salmon, shrimp, and egg, and each piece was a decent size. The white fish and salmon in particular looked clean in color, and the shrimp sushi was plump on top. It was her dish, but I got to share a piece or two, and I liked that there was such a variety of sushi types.

The soba (buckwheat noodles) came piled generously on a green soba-specific plate. It had seaweed flakes on top, and you dip it into a separate rich soba broth. Eating the soba in between bites of sushi felt refreshing and cleansed the palate. If you prefer cool, clean noodles over warm ones like udon, the Soba Sushi Set would be a good pick.

## Is Moshi Moshi PNU Branch a good spot for two?

This time I visited with my wife, just the two of us, and the atmosphere wasn't too loud, so the wood-toned interior made for a comfortable meal. Above all, we came by car, and the 1-hour parking support made things easy. If you're looking to have sushi on a date near PNU, or want a set that comes with several dishes for lunch, this was a solid choice.
