We’re originally a family that loves tonkatsu, so I’d heard about it and had been meaning to go—and finally made it haha. It was literally just a one-minute walk from the public lot haha. You can spot the entrance with the Yuyu Katsu sign. Chaechae’s little brother was already excited and marched up the stairs all by himself haha. Inside, the wood-toned interior and soft lighting felt relaxing. There was also a Very Excellent hygiene-rating certificate posted near the entrance, which put me at ease. It’s fried with a whole chunk of cheese inside the cutlet, and when I cut into it, the cheese stretched right out—it totally passed the visual test at first glance. It was crispy outside and packed with meat and cheese inside, so each bite felt like the juices and cheese burst together. It was arranged like a face, so the kids loved it! haha The broth was clean and not overly strong, so it felt easy to feed to the kids. Chaechae’s little brother was so excited by the fun of slurping the udon noodles that he kept eating haha. Chaechae’s little brother picked up the yubu on top of the udon first with his chopsticks and ate it. I only found out today that he likes yubu haha. Chaechae’s big sister tried a piece of cheese menchi katsu, saw the cheese stretching, and her eyes went wide. She kept saying, “Mom, look at this!” and asking me to cut it again so she could see it. The staff were so kind and attentive to the kids the whole time, so even though I was there alone with two children, I could eat with peace of mind.
