I go to Gaeum-dong Market a lot because there's so much good food there, and a new BBQ restaurant just opened — Hanpanjip.

Even from the entrance, the visuals of the meat were no joke.

The place is long and narrow with quite a lot of tables, so it felt like a good spot for a group dinner.

## Hanpanjip menu prices and what comes as side dishes

What stood out most about Hanpanjip is that the meat comes fully grilled already, and yet the set price is really reasonable. These days going to a samgyeopsal place with two people can easily run you 50,000–60,000 won, but here 600g runs about 40,000 won 🥩🥩. I also loved that you can choose between meat-only or meat-with-minari sets — a smart touch. On top of that, there was a nice variety of rice/noodle dishes too.

Good side dishes for eating with the meat came out quickly — a nice range including myeongi namul (wild garlic leaves), lettuce wraps, and pickled radish.

The best part was the free steamed egg custard 💛 It's always a bit disappointing when it's not included, but here it comes as standard, so we got to start off warm and savory.

There were seven sauces total to dip the meat in. Since the set includes pork skin, they also gave us soy-chili sauce and roasted soybean powder for more variety. There was even breadcrumbs mixed in with the sauce, which somehow gave the meat's texture a boost.

## The 550g minari platter for 39,900 won, grilled in the kitchen

What I liked most about Hanpanjip was the fully grilled meat. Plenty of places now do a first grill before serving, but here the meat arrives completely cooked, so there's no need to grill at your table — you can just start eating right away, which was really convenient 👍

Minari Hanpan 550g, 39,900 won. A platter piled full of grilled meat. With two of us there, 550g was already a lot, but the minari + pork belly combo was irresistible so we ordered it. And since it was all grilled by a pro, the doneness was absolutely perfect ✨

Honestly the pork belly itself was so good that any combination would have worked, but the meat itself was thick-cut with a great texture.

Not just minari — the platter also came packed with baek-kimchi (white kimchi) and bean sprouts, so if you're a veggie lover, this is definitely your kind of BBQ place.

The thick pork shoulder that came with the belly was cut into plump, bite-sized pieces, so the texture was great from the first bite. Paired with well-grilled minari, it's a perfect combo.

The set also includes pork skin, so we got to enjoy a nice variety without ordering it separately. The skin was thick and chewy — a real treat.

## Kimchi cheese fried rice and bibim noodles for 4,000 won

Kimchi cheese fried rice. I'd already seen it on the tablet menu and planned to order it for dessert after the meat, but I was genuinely surprised when it showed up as a free menu item through a Naver review event. It normally costs around 5,500 won as a single dish, so getting it free was a real treat. The cheese on top was also piled on generously. It wasn't very spicy, and with all that cheese it was seriously delicious — the portion was about enough for two, making it perfect as a full meal.

Bibim noodles, 4,000 won. Honestly we were already full from the kimchi fried rice, but I wanted the pork belly + bibim noodles combo so I ordered it anyway. Spicy and delicious, that taste that just keeps you going back for more... 😂

We left genuinely stuffed, and on the way out there was even plum tea and coffee for dessert, plus a thoughtful touch of mouthwash and Febreze. Great from the food to the service, all around. Planning to come back next time with a friend's couple!!
