## Suwolgyeonghwa, a tea house near Songjeong Beach

This is Suwolgyeonghwa, a Songjeong café in Busan where you can see the Beach Train and an ocean view. It is a tea house specializing in traditional tea and Korean-style desserts.

You can use the pilotis parking lot on the first floor. If it is full, you will need to use a nearby paid parking lot (no parking support).

Suwolgyeonghwa is a café and tea house located right by Songjeong Beach. I have revisited it several times because of its wide-open ocean view, atmospheric setting, delicious Korean-style desserts, coffee, and tea.

![Suwolgyeonghwa near Songjeong Beach](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-course-view/songjeong-tea-course-view-02-pl8jh-650.webp)

The 4th floor operates as Suwolgyeonghwa, while the 3rd floor operates as Ritual of Suwolgyeonghwa.

## Third-floor Ritual of Suwolgyeonghwa, by reservation only

Ritual of Suwolgyeonghwa runs tea courses and tea classes, so reservations are essential. The tea class was closed that day, so I only took a few photos of the interior~

![Tea class space](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-course-view/songjeong-tea-course-view-06-7d4id-650.webp)

As you enter, there is a long bar-style table. The ocean view through the full-height windows is so beautiful. Wouldn't it be incredibly healing to take a tea course here at leisure while admiring the ocean? Next time, I really need to reserve a tea course.

![Ocean-view bar table area](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-course-view/songjeong-tea-course-view-07-fh1yq-650.webp)

There is also a floor-seating area next to the bar table. The interior makes wonderful use of Eastern beauty! There were plenty of tables, and the floor seating made it a comfortable spot to relax.

Especially, the ocean view through this round window was so pretty,,🩵

## Fourth-floor ocean-view seats and a neat atmosphere

After looking around the third floor, let's head straight up to the fourth floor~ Suwolgyeonghwa has also been listed in the Blue Ribbon Survey for two consecutive years!

Even the counter is so pretty,, Every time I come, its distinctively neat atmosphere puts me in a good mood before I even drink my tea.

![Suwolgyeonghwa counter and fourth-floor seating](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-course-view/songjeong-tea-course-view-08-1rmso-650.webp)

There is a long bar-style seating area in the middle that can also be used by groups, while the window has side-by-side seats for two.

It is a space where you can fully take in the calm Songjeong Sea. While sitting there, the Beach Train passes by, and you can see people surfing in the distance, so the Songjeong Sea is never boring. It has a completely different mood from Haeundae or Gwangalli Beach, which is so charming.

There is another private-room space beside the counter.

![Private room with the premium tea collection](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-course-view/songjeong-tea-course-view-09-1s74x-650.webp)

You can explore Suwolgyeonghwa's premium tea collection here. The packaging was clean and luxurious, so I thought it would be perfect for gifts too. High chairs are available as well.

## A varied menu from tea to coffee and traditional drinks

As befits a tea house, the menu includes a wide range of premium teas. I liked that they are divided into caffeinated and non-caffeinated options.

![Premium tea menu selection](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-course-view/songjeong-tea-course-view-12-15i0k-867.webp)

There is coffee in addition to tea. You can find hojigabae, a combination of hojicha and coffee; Miguksik gabae, a classic Americano; and gabaeorae, along with traditional tea and tarakcha.

There are so many drinks, from tea and coffee to traditional tea and tarakcha, that I order something different every visit. Almost every menu item has been delicious without a miss.

For desserts, there is the signature Dalbodeure box, which lets you try five desserts, and two kinds of monaka.

## The day I tried the Dalbodeure box and tea

Now it is time to relax with the ocean view👏🏻

Dalbodeure is a pure Korean word meaning “sweet and soft.”

![Dalbodeure fusion dessert box](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-course-view/songjeong-tea-course-view-16-11a8o-650.webp)

Five beautiful fusion desserts arrive neatly arranged in a box.

### Injeolmi skewer

A harmony of traditional glutinous-rice cake, soybean powder, honey, and brown rice. Chewy injeolmi (soybean-coated rice cake) is dusted with nutty soybean powder and topped with crisp brown-rice crunch. The rice cake was really chewy and not overly sweet. It was nutty and delicious.

### Whole red-bean ang-butter monaka

Red-bean paste meets French fermented gourmet butter, nuts, and glutinous-rice cake. The volume is no joke, right? The monaka was packed with glutinous-rice cake and red-bean paste, with nuts dotted throughout the paste, making it a texture genius. The red-bean paste was quite thick, so it was a great dessert to have with tea.

### Black-rice sulppang

This black-rice sulppang (makgeolli-fermented steamed bread) is made through makgeolli fermentation. I love sulppang, and it tastes like the familiar version we all know. The black rice makes it even more mild. It has red beans inside, so it was sweet and tasty.

### Gamtae and pollock-roe financier

A sweet-and-salty harmony where Eastern sea aromas meet classic Western sweetness. This financier contains gamtae seaweed and pollock roe, and the savory, nutty combination was unusual and delicious.

### Ganache monaka

A flower-scented ganache monaka made with French chocolate. Personally, this was my favorite of the five desserts. White chocolate and nuts sit between crisp monaka wafers; the texture was great, and the sweet chocolate with nutty nuts was so delicious. If it were available à la carte, I would want to order more!

### Chamo Elixir

They say this tea combines chamomile, a member of the daisy family, with lychee. First of all, the aroma was wonderful. It went down very smoothly and had a clean finish, which I loved.

![Chamo Elixir tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-course-view/songjeong-tea-course-view-22-1lcpp-650.webp)

It arrived fully steeped, so all I had to do was drink it comfortably. There was plenty, too, so it was nice to pour several cups. My tea-loving friend ordered this one and enjoyed it so much, haha.

### Iced hojigabae

It combines hojicha, a roasted green tea, with café latte and cream. It is Suwolgyeonghwa's signature menu item. The slightly bitter hojicha and sweet cream were such a delicious pairing. It also had a slight Earl Grey-like note, which made it even better.

## The Songjeong Sea as the Beach Train passes

Because the Beach Train passes often, I was able to see it several times while drinking tea. I captured the train going by in a video~

Suwolgyeonghwa is a Songjeong café in Busan with an Eastern atmosphere, a wide-open ocean view, and the Beach Train passing by. It is a tea-specialist tea house that has been listed in the Blue Ribbon Survey for two consecutive years. From many kinds of tea to coffee, traditional tea, and tarakcha, there is plenty to choose from, along with neat Korean-style desserts. If you are looking for an atmospheric ocean-view café in Busan's Songjeong, I recommend visiting Suwolgyeonghwa!
