There were a lot of tangsuyuk set menus too — good for families or bigger groups. Anyway, unlike any tangsuyuk I've had before, this had a lot of meaty flavor and the pieces were plump and satisfying to chew. The texture of the batter with the meat was great, and above all it felt like the meat portion was solid, which I loved. And if we hadn't, it would've been a huge mistake. The jjamppong broth had insane smoky wok flavor!!!! Since we ordered a bunch of dishes to share, it was great for switching up our palate between bites! And they gave us the peanut sauce generously too. Personally I think it would've tasted even better if it were a bit colder!! I never expected that the mini tangsuyuk we ordered as a taste-test would end up needing a second round. If you're craving good Chinese food around Gaegeum-Gaya, I highly recommend Surabanjeom Gaya Branch 👏🏻 When you go out for Chinese food, sometimes you want jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk all at once — ordering a set makes choosing easier and lets you enjoy a variety together. Especially when you're visiting with family or a bigger group, everyone might want something different, so using the set menus well is a great way to put together the meal. I highly recommend the jjamjjamyeon set!
