I went to Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화), a Blue Ribbon café known for its unique day-of-week tea menu available only during night hours!

## How to get to Suwolgyeonghwa, and where to park in Songjeong

Suwolgyeonghwa sits right in front of Songjeong Beach, so it's perfect for a Busan date course. If you're coming without a car, get off at Songjeong Station on the Donghae Line, then take bus 185 and get off at KT Songjeong Tower.

You can park at the building's 1st floor lot, and double parking is possible! (Free) If there's no spot, there's a parking lot right across the street, but note that one is paid (no parking support ❌).

Look for the stairs on the right side of the red brick building and head up to the 4th floor! Climbing the stairs feels almost like stepping into the sea — grand yet gentle music plays while blue light spreads around you, and it's so pretty 🤍 There's even a photo zone, so it was fun to snap some memories haha! I was already excited before even walking in!

## Inside Suwolgyeonghwa: hanok-style rooms and baby chairs

The moment I stepped inside Suwolgyeonghwa, I let out a 'wow' — it was so, so stylish and pretty!! The grandeur and elegance of a hanok (traditional Korean house) were expressed beautifully, and the soft lighting really set the mood! Perfect for a date spot 🤍 The space was spacious with plenty of seating, so it looked great for group visits too.

Inside the store, there's a large circular secret door that opens to a space where you can buy tea — it looked like a great gift idea too. With big ceramic pieces displayed, this area also expressed the hanok feel really well. There were plenty of baby chairs available too, so it looked good for visiting with family :-)

## How to order, and what changes between the day and night menus

At the counter, there were various teas set out so you could sample the scent, and a lot of them were unfamiliar teas I'd never seen before, which made it fun!👍 The detailed descriptions written alongside them were nice too.

When you walk in, there's a menu board next to the counter — you take it to your seat to look it over, then come back to the counter to order. Suwolgyeonghwa has different day and night menus, so you'll get a fresh, unique feeling no matter when you visit!

- Saturday (bingsu) ₩8,500
- Thursday (makgeolli) ₩8,500
- Daytime dessert (monaka) ₩7,500

We visited as two people and ordered this way! That day, the night dessert had to be swapped for the daytime dessert due to a delivery mishap. The night dessert is normally ₩8,000!

One of Suwolgyeonghwa's biggest strengths is how gorgeous the view is!!🤍 Since it's right in front of Songjeong Beach, you can sip tea while looking at the night sea and waves, and it was fascinating to see the Blueline Park beach train pass by too. Tourists visiting Busan would probably love this scenery even more :-)

Our order of Thursday, Saturday, and iced green tea monaka arrived. The visuals were so pretty!! It was the kind of plating that looks good no matter how you shoot it, so I ended up taking a ton of photos haha 🤍

## Thursday tea, 8,500 won: makgeolli flavor without the alcohol

Alongside the menu, there were also descriptions of Thursday and Saturday.

> Thursday (木): Like a tree holding the wind, a time that grows sturdier as the seasons pass (chamomile + coconut + milk + fresh cream)

How to drink it: chew the chamomile flower first, then drink from the edge where you bit it. Since the flower has 4 petals, you drink from each of the 4 edges!

The description mentioned makgeolli, and I was curious what that meant — but the tea actually tasted like makgeolli (Korean rice wine)!! It had zero alcohol in it, yet somehow tasted like it — so surprising! With the subtle chamomile scent and the coconut on top giving it texture, it was such a distinctive, unusual flavor that it caught me off guard 🤤 A taste I've genuinely never had anywhere else.

## Saturday tea, 8,500 won: a hojicha bingsu in a cup

> Saturday (土): Like the earth embracing everything, a time that warmly wraps up the end of the day (hojicha + rice + malt syrup + fresh cream)

How to drink it: the base is rice and malt syrup, cream in the middle, and hojicha (roasted green tea) layered on top — so scoop through all the layers at once. This menu is described as a bingsu (shaved ice dessert), and it had a nuttier hojicha flavor than green tea, with a refreshing coolness like bingsu. Thanks to the cream, it had a chewy-yet-soft texture that suited it perfectly and was really nice 🤤

## Iced green tea monaka, 7,500 won: the stand-in for the night dessert

Lastly, the iced green tea monaka (thin wafer dessert). Because of the delivery mishap, it was substituted for the daytime dessert, but the staff said this almost never happens and it was practically the first time! Still, worth noting that if the night dessert runs out, it may be swapped for the daytime one.

Rice crackers are scattered on the plate, topped with monaka, chapssaltteok (glutinous rice cake), green tea ice cream, and more monaka + gold flakes. Scooping up the generous green tea ice cream and dabbing it onto the rice crackers gave a nutty flavor with a crispy texture — so good! Plus the crispiness of the monaka on top 🤤 And in the middle there was rice cake, chewy with the sweetness of red bean, which was so delicious!🤍🤍 (The 4th photo was meant to show the rice cake, but it ended up looking like ice cream straight from hell ㅠ..ㅠ)

A feast for the eyes and the mouth — Suwolgyeonghwa!! I'd recommend it if you're going for a drive around Songjeong, looking for a café near Songjeong Beach, wanting to see the Songjeong night view, or searching for a café to bring your parents to in Songjeong!👍
