Today, my dad and I were craving cutlets for the first time in a while, so we went to Deli Donkatsu (델리돈까스) in Songjeong. ## Deli Donkatsu hours and parking Hours are 11:00 to 20:00, with a break from 16:00 to 17:00. They are closed on the second and fourth Friday of every month. Other than the tables for three or more, it was almost full already. There were people dining alone too, and after 12, nearby office workers filled the place in no time and a wait started. He prefers tasting a little of several things rather than having just one kind, so he went for the assorted plate. It came with pork cutlet, beef cutlet, and fish cutlet together, letting us try all three evenly. I was especially curious about the beef cutlet because it was my first time trying it. It is beef fried in the style of a cutlet. Unlike the pork cutlets I usually eat, it had that distinctive beef flavor, which made it fun to try. With fish cutlet included too, each bite on the plate was a little different, so I think it would suit anyone wanting to sample several kinds. The name alone sounded a little different from regular kimchi fried rice, so I was curious. The rice arrived sizzling and warm on a hot plate, topped with cream sauce, and it caught my eye right away. It was softer and richer than kimchi fried rice on its own, and it paired nicely with the cutlets too. If you usually love kimchi fried rice, I think it would be worth ordering alongside your meal at least once. ### Side: 2-piece mini cheese cutlets I thought kimchi fried rice alone might feel a little lacking, so we ordered the 2-piece mini cheese cutlets as a side. The outside was crisply fried and cheese filled the inside, so they offered a different flavor from the regular cutlets. If you especially love cheese cutlets, rather than ordering one as your main, adding them as a side like this to share with fried rice or another dish would work nicely too. It was not an intensely brewed drip coffee, so it was nice for a light palate cleanser! ## Final thoughts Deli Donkatsu felt like a good place to stop by for an easy meal. If you enjoy Western-style Korean cutlets, the familiar, comforting menu should be easy to enjoy with no strong likes or dislikes.
