## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a tea café in Songjeong, Haeundae, Busan, with views of the sea and the Blue Line Park train. After dinner, my dad and I shared ssanghwa-cha, Lemon Sunset tea, and a 13,000 won Dalbodeure dessert box. Verdict: a calm, lovely stop for tea with parents.

A few days ago, I went to Suwolgyeonghwa with my dad for a cup of tea after dinner. This is a Songjeong café in Busan that I’ve visited four times already for the view; it is always busy, but the atmosphere stays quiet, so it is lovely for lingering.

## Suwolgyeonghwa hours and parking

- Hours: 11:00–20:30
- Last order: 20:00
- Parking is available on the building’s first floor.
- Leave your vehicle number in the car or come up to the café and make sure to register it—then even double parking is okay!

Go past the atmospheric entrance and up to the fourth floor to find the café. The third floor is a space where you can learn darye (Korean tea ceremony), though I have never used it.

A man was looking at these so sweetly—if you happen to read this, I would love to give you the photos haha.

## Hanok atmosphere and a Songjeong sea view

The tranquil, hanok-inspired atmosphere and traditional-style interior make it a nice place to pause over tea. There are photogenic spots throughout too, so rather than just finishing a drink and leaving, I found myself taking my time looking around.

You can also buy any tea you like.

More than anything, the view is why I love Suwolgyeonghwa! Sit by the window and Songjeong Beach spreads out right in front of you. On a clear day, you can see the blue sea and sky together, plus the Blue Line Park train passing by in the foreground. If you are looking for a Songjeong café in Busan with a great ocean view, this is somewhere I personally really want to recommend.

We had already eaten dinner, but there is always a separate stomach for dessert, haha.

### Ssanghwa-cha with egg yolk and Lemon Sunset

My dad ordered the ssanghwa-cha (traditional herbal tea). It even had an egg yolk floating on top, just like the old-fashioned version. The yolk is optional, so you can leave it out. Ssanghwa-cha is a lovely warm drink, and my dad especially liked it in the weather that has turned chilly in the mornings and evenings.

I ordered Lemon Sunset, the recommended tea of the day. The name alone was pretty, so I was curious about the flavor; it had a delicate aroma and a refreshing feel, making it easy to drink.

With the tartness of hibiscus and lemon plus allulose, it had a touch of sweetness too. I drink coffee often, so it made me think that ordering tea like this now and then would be nice.

### Dalbodeure box

Dalbodeure is a sampling dessert with small portions of five different sweets. Setting tea and desserts out together looked so pretty, and it was also good for the two of us to share rather than ordering just one item.

The ganache monaka uses French chocolate, and the smooth chocolate went unexpectedly well with the monaka wafer.

Whole red bean ang-butter monaka. It is a red-bean dessert with ang-butter made using French gourmet butter.

![Whole red bean ang-butter monaka and injeolmi](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-time-suwoelgyeonghwa/songjeong-tea-time-suwoelgyeonghwa-13-9vpx8-900.webp)

The brown-rice tuile on top of the injeolmi (chewy rice cake) added a lovely crunch.

The black-rice sulppang (rice wine bread) also had red bean inside, adding sweetness to bread that could otherwise have been plain. My dad, who likes mild flavors, said this was the most delicious one.

Gamtae myeongran financier. I tasted more gamtae seaweed than pollock roe—it felt a little like old-fashioned green seaweed snacks!

The Blue Line Park train happened to pass by, so I took some photos too.

![Table lighting at Suwolgyeonghwa in the evening](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-time-suwoelgyeonghwa/songjeong-tea-time-suwoelgyeonghwa-16-i5wsz-900.webp)

## When the lighting changes for the evening

Around 7 p.m., they turn off the lights and switch on the lamps placed at every table, and the mood changes completely. There are also special tea menu items available only in the evening, so I want to come back at that time next time.

## Final thoughts

A place to enjoy tea and desserts at an unhurried pace while looking out at Songjeong Beach! If you are looking for a quiet Songjeong café in Busan or somewhere nice to visit with your parents, I recommend Suwolgyeonghwa!
