## In short

Dolsoe Ssambap Misa is a ssambap (Korean lettuce-wrap rice) restaurant on Misagangbyeon-hangang-ro in Hanam, Gyeonggi. The galbi jeongsik (grilled short rib set) at Dolsoe Ssambap came with a generous platter of wrap vegetables and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) served in its own dish, so the amount of sauce could be adjusted to taste. A dependable choice in Misa when a proper Korean spread is what you want.

I wanted a solid, filling meal in Misa, so I went to Dolsoe Ssambap Misa. I already like ssambap (wrap rice) in general, so I went in with expectations, and the galbi jeongsik turned out even better than expected — came home very satisfied!

## What is Dolsoe Ssambap Misa like inside?

The inside of Dolsoe Ssambap Misa had a comfortable atmosphere for a relaxed meal. It seemed like a good spot to bring family, and pretty safe for taking your parents out for Korean food too. With a crowd-pleasing menu like galbi jeongsik, picking what to order shouldn't be too hard either.

When I go to a restaurant, the main dish matters, but I also pay a lot of attention to what comes alongside it and how you're meant to eat it. At Dolsoe Ssambap Misa, the generous portion of wrap vegetables served with the galbi really gave me that proper ssambap-restaurant feeling. Having the ssamjang served separately might sound like a small thing, but once I tried it, it was surprisingly convenient!

## Why the ssamjang arrives in its own dish

One thing I personally liked about Dolsoe Ssambap Misa was that the ssamjang (wrap dipping sauce) came separately. Everyone likes a different amount of ssamjang, right? Too much and it gets salty, none at all and something's missing — but with it served on the side, I could adjust exactly how much I wanted. Since the galbi itself was already well-seasoned, I only added a little ssamjang, and the combination worked really well!

## What comes with the galbi jeongsik set

This time I ordered the galbi jeongsik. Instead of just meat, it came with all sorts of sides to eat alongside the wrap vegetables, giving it a proper full-table feel. These days it's actually kind of hard to eat enough vegetables when dining out, so I appreciated that Dolsoe Ssambap Misa served plenty of them.

Being able to pick from lettuce and various other vegetables to wrap to your taste meant the same galbi felt a little different depending on the combination you made. The vegetables weren't just a token leaf or two either — there was enough to actually eat properly, which should satisfy anyone who loves ssambap!

## How to eat the galbi: wrapped in the vegetables

Galbi is already tasty with rice, but it was even better wrapped up. A piece of galbi on a wrap vegetable, a bit of rice on top, a dab of ssamjang, all in one bite — that was just right. The galbi itself already had good umami and was fine on its own, but eating it with the vegetables meant I kept going without any greasiness.

Wrapping the galbi and vegetables together with ssamjang added the sauce's savory depth to the meat's salty-sweet flavor, and a bowl of rice disappeared in no time. Having several kinds of wrap vegetables especially helped — instead of getting tired of just one type, I could keep enjoying it to the last bite.

The overall composition of the galbi jeongsik was solid too. I tend to prefer Korean food eaten with vegetables over meat-heavy dishes, and ssambap definitely gives that feeling of having had a proper meal. Wrapping up a full bite each time left me surprisingly full, and eating so many vegetables made it feel lighter on the stomach too!

Above all, having a variety of wrap vegetables made the galbi feel completely different from eating it plain. It wasn't just lettuce every time — there was fun in mixing and matching, and eating the meat with vegetables kept the overall balance really good.

Between the galbi, the rice, and the wraps, it made for a genuinely filling meal. If you're in the mood for a proper Korean spread rather than something heavy or spicy, this place should suit you well. Anyone who always makes sure to wrap their meat when eating out would probably enjoy it even more!

## Is Dolsoe Ssambap worth it for ssambap in Misa?

If you're looking for ssambap or a galbi jeongsik set in Misa, Dolsoe Ssambap Misa seems like a solid choice. I had the galbi jeongsik, and the combination of meat and wrap vegetables made for a really tasty meal. The generous vegetables and separately served ssamjang, letting me wrap things exactly to my taste, were what I liked most.

This is somewhere I'd want to come back to next time I'm craving a hearty Korean meal in Misa. There was fun in switching up the wraps, and the flavors went so well with the galbi that it was a satisfying meal overall. I feel like I ate a real lot of wraps for once — galbi really is better wrapped up~
