## In short

Mijin Chuksan Sinjurye-jeom is a neighborhood Korean BBQ restaurant on Baegyang-daero in Busanjin, Busan. A sudden craving for samgyeopsal (pork belly) led to a visit with several cuts, naengmyeon (cold noodles), doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and steamed egg, eaten with salt, ssamjang, and myeongi namul on rotation, tasting savory without feeling greasy. You know that feeling when you're eating at home and suddenly, out of nowhere, you just really need properly grilled meat? That happened to me this day — I suddenly wanted samgyeopsal, went looking for somewhere to go, and found Mijin Chuksan Sinjurye-jeom (미진축산 신주례점).

## Location and atmosphere of Mijin in Sinjurye

I was looking for a Korean BBQ place around Sinjurye and ended up here — the prices were less of a burden than I expected and there was a good variety of cuts, which I liked. Especially with how expensive eating out has gotten lately, being able to eat meat at these prices felt pretty great.

Mijin Chuksan Sinjurye-jeom is located on Baegyang-daero in Busanjin-gu, and it's easy to get to from between Gaegeum Station and Naengjeong Station. The listed hours are 4 PM to midnight, but I'd recommend checking the same-day hours before you go.

Walking in, it had the vibe of a comfortable neighborhood Korean BBQ spot. Not fancy or intimidating at all — it seemed like a good place to eat with friends, for a family dinner, or just for a casual meat meal.

## Menu lineup and basic side dishes

We decided to order a bunch of different cuts this time.

Mijin has not just pork but also beef, chicken, makchang (beef intestine), and tripe on the menu, so there's real fun in choosing what to order. You can pick fresh samgyeopsal, iberico kkotmoksal, pork bucheotsal, kkodeulsal, chicken neck meat, honeycomb tripe, and more, depending on your taste.

They also have set menus, which seemed like a good option if you want to try several cuts at once — there's a couple set, a pork combo set, and a family set to choose from depending on group size.

The basic side dishes paired nicely with the meat too. Lettuce wraps, kimchi, scallion salad, and myeongi namul (wild garlic leaves) came out, and there's a self-serve bar, so it was convenient to grab more of whatever ran low.

## Grilling and tasting the fresh samgyeopsal

And finally, the meat arrives!

![Samgyeopsal turning golden brown](https://img.superchart.com/images/mijin-chuksan-sinjurye-samgyeopsal/mijin-chuksan-sinjurye-samgyeopsal-04-1gj7r-966.webp)

![A piece of meat with ssamjang and scallion salad](https://img.superchart.com/images/mijin-chuksan-sinjurye-samgyeopsal/mijin-chuksan-sinjurye-samgyeopsal-05-fezki-966.webp)

The moment the samgyeopsal hit the grill and started sizzling, that sound alone got my appetite going. Samgyeopsal is best grilled until golden brown, I think.

First I dipped it lightly in salt to taste the meat on its own, then had it with ssamjang and scallion salad. Wrapping it in myeongi namul was delicious too.

Personally I like samgyeopsal that isn't too thin — with some thickness and a good balance of fat and lean meat — and the samgyeopsal here fit that, savory without being overly greasy.

So if you're looking for a good samgyeopsal spot near Gaegeum, I'd say it's worth a visit.

It felt like a waste to just eat samgyeopsal, so we grilled other cuts too, and each one had a different texture — glad we ordered a variety. Especially if you're visiting with a group, going for the set menu or mixing up cuts rather than ordering just one kind seems like the way to go.

## Sides: naengmyeon, doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg

And of course, we ordered the side dishes that go with meat.

Eating meat nonstop can get a little greasy, but adding naengmyeon (cold noodles), doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), or steamed egg made for a much more satisfying way to finish the meal. Other visitor reviews mention ordering bibim naengmyeon, doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg together, saying they pair well with the meat.

## How much does it cost? What about parking?

What I liked most of all was the price.

These days a single serving at samgyeopsal places isn't cheap, and the total adds up fast once you order a few things — but Mijin Chuksan Sinjurye-jeom had a good range of affordably priced items, which made it easy to try several kinds. As of this visit, fresh samgyeopsal was ₩4,400 per 100g, and iberico kkotmoksal was ₩6,900 per 100g. Prices may change, so it's worth checking before you go.

So this place would especially suit people who care about value for money.

It seemed like a good spot for meat with friends after work, and the vibe worked fine for a family dinner too. Other visitor reviews mention family meals, dates, and drinking get-togethers, with high satisfaction for both food and price.

If you're driving, though, it's worth checking on parking ahead of time — there doesn't seem to be a dedicated lot, so if you're bringing a car, I'd recommend looking up nearby parking before you go.

## In summary

Overall, Mijin Chuksan Sinjurye-jeom felt less like a flashy upscale Korean BBQ place and more like a neighborhood spot where you can eat good meat comfortably without breaking the bank.

If you're looking for a place to eat meat around Sinjurye, this was a solid choice, and it's easy to reach from Gaegeum too, so I'd recommend it to anyone hunting for a good samgyeopsal restaurant near Gaegeum.

If you like trying a little bit of many different cuts, going for a set menu is a good option too.

For days like mine, when a sudden craving for samgyeopsal hits and you don't want an expensive place but also don't want to sacrifice the taste — this is a good place to go!

If you're looking for a good-value Korean BBQ place in Sinjurye, give Mijin Chuksan Sinjurye-jeom a try. It's the kind of Sinjurye/Juryu Korean BBQ spot that comes to mind when you want a hearty, satisfying meal of good meat :)
