I’d been so curious about Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화), a lovely atmospheric café in Songjeong that is said to have beautiful views of Songjeong Beach in the daytime and gorgeous night scenery in the evening—and I finally visited! I came in the evening because I wanted to spend a quiet time looking at the night view with my boyfriend ^.^

## The way up to Suwolgyeonghwa

At Suwolgyeonghwa, a wonderfully atmospheric café in Songjeong, Busan, we parked on the first floor and came straight up. It’s on the fourth floor, and even the stairs up are so pretty—I was already so excited.

![Stairs leading to the fourth floor of Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-nightview-cafe-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-nightview-cafe-suwolgyeonghwa-03-1vfqu-900.webp)

Suwolgyeonghwa, famous for its Songjeong Beach view, is said to have been created by bringing together hanok sensibility and a calm atmosphere around the image of “the moon reflected in water, flowers reflected in a mirror.”

## A window seat overlooking Songjeong Beach

This is what Suwolgyeonghwa looks like inside. Tables are set in front of floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean, so you can take in Songjeong Beach at a glance as you sit there. The atmosphere was so lovely!!

There was exactly one window seat left, so we sat down straight away! Suwolgyeonghwa is one of Busan’s standout cafés for looking out over the Songjeong Beach ocean view, with such a nice atmosphere.

If you open the door beside the counter and head in, you’ll find various teas blended in-house by Suwolgyeonghwa for sale as tea bags.

The Haeundae Beach Train, which I think would look even prettier in the daytime. I thought it would be too late to see it, but it passed by, which made me so happy! Suwolgyeonghwa must be absolutely beautiful during the day too.

At the counter, there’s information on the teas Suwolgyeonghwa blends in-house and their characteristics, so I recommend having a look! Take a menu back to your table and choose~ While waiting after ordering, there’s also a guestbook beside you, so it might be nice to scribble down a line :-)

## Night Stroll menu to enjoy after 19:00

Here is Suwolgyeonghwa’s menu. It has a special Night Stroll menu that you can enjoy when visiting after 19:00. The Night Stroll items have the feel of non-alcoholic cocktails.

![Night Stroll menu available after 19:00](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-nightview-cafe-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-nightview-cafe-suwolgyeonghwa-17-1kgql-900.webp)

Here’s what I ordered.

- Hwa (Fire) — iced tea made with hibiscus, lemon myrtle, apple, and mango
- Su (Water) — a refreshing drink with jasmine, lemon, carbonation, and “Milky Way”
- Pungwol Dessert — four monaka wafer desserts in yuzu, hōjicha roasted green tea, injeolmi roasted soybean rice cake, and matcha flavors

When the pager buzzes, you can collect your order from the pickup zone.

The drink on the right is Su (Water), and the one on the left is Hwa (Fire). Four monaka Pungwol Desserts at Suwolgyeonghwa, a wonderfully atmospheric Songjeong café.

### The color-changing Su (Water) drink

For the Su (Water) menu, the color changes when you pour in the drink from the teapot!! It was dark, so I added a little light ^^;

Ta-da! So pretty, right... Suwolgyeonghwa’s night view is beautiful, but the drink is so pretty too. There’s blue syrup at the bottom, so mix it well before drinking. It tasted familiar somehow!! The jasmine fragrance, lemon, and carbonation went together so cleanly and nicely.

### The Hwa (Fire) drink that goes so well with mango

For Hwa (Fire), mango comes in a small jar-shaped cup, and you pour in the red hibiscus tea before drinking it. I already tend to love hibiscus tea, and the added sweetness of the mango and apple made it really delicious! Recommended!

### Pungwol Dessert in four flavors

Suwolgyeonghwa’s Pungwol Dessert. These were four monaka desserts—yuzu, hōjicha, injeolmi, and matcha—that weren’t overly sweet, but made you go “wow!” the moment you put them in your mouth. My boyfriend and I split each one in half, and it just wasn’t enough.. Oh my. Suwolgyeonghwa, such a good Songjeong café.

At Suwolgyeonghwa, we got to see the beach train and enjoy the night view over Songjeong Beach. The flavors were great, of course, but the view and atmosphere were just so impressively lovely too! If you’re considering a Busan Songjeong date course, I absolutely recommend this place 👍 Suwolgyeonghwa is such an atmospheric Songjeong café that I want to visit again in the daytime!
