## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a tea and dessert café directly opposite Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan. I tried Hyeonwolhoji tea, an iced chestnut rooibos milk tea, and the five-piece Dalbodeure dessert box for 8,500 won, 8,000 won, and 13,000 won. Verdict: a lovely stop for tea, desserts, and a beach walk.

Hours are 11:00–23:00 every day, with last orders at 22:30. It’s on the 4th floor at 188 Songjeongjungang-ro 6beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan.

I visited Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화), a Songjeong café in Busan right in front of the sea. It was such a nice place to slow down in Songjeong, with tea and desserts to enjoy together!

![Scenery around the café in front of Songjeong Beach](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-03-1dfza-900.webp)

![Songjeong Beach and scenery near Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-04-g6xma-900.webp)

It’s right by the sea, so it’s easy to find—and you can really soak up the Songjeong atmosphere before you even step inside! Let me show you around. 💨

There’s a parking lot directly below the café building, so it was convenient to come by car too. Haha.

## Suwolgyeonghwa’s atmosphere starts at the entrance

Suwolgyeonghwa is beautifully decorated from the entrance, so I loved the atmosphere from the moment I walked in. I saw the name and wondered, “What does Suwolgyeonghwa mean?” It says it means a moon reflected in water and flowers reflected in a mirror. 😊

## How are the third and fourth floors different?

![Third-floor space at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-05-1ym8w-900.webp)

![Third-floor seating at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-06-k2cw3-900.webp)

![Third-floor table area at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-07-10klr-900.webp)

Suwolgyeonghwa is split between the third and fourth floors, and you order on the fourth floor. The third floor has both floor seating and table seating, and its overall mood is a little quieter and more serene—really pretty.

The fourth floor also gives you a full view of Songjeong Beach, and I was surprised by how pretty it was as soon as I went up! 🫢 It feels more open and bright, so I’d recommend eating on the fourth floor if you really want to enjoy the ocean view. This Songjeong café in Busan was so thoughtfully decorated that you can choose a seat with the atmosphere that suits you best.

### Coffee, traditional tea, and tarak tea

### Signature Dalbodeure Box

There’s a pretty broad selection, from premium teas and coffee to all kinds of desserts. We focused on tea and desserts that day.

![Tea and desserts ordered at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-15-c58p4-900.webp)

> 📋 What we ordered
> • Premium Tea Collection “Hyeonwolhoji” ₩8,500
> • Signature Dalbodeure Box ₩13,000
> • Bamruigurum (iced) ₩8,000

## Hyeonwolhoji’s toasty, gentle sweetness

For tea, I chose Hyeonwolhoji. It had won a Superior Taste Award at the 2024 International Food and Beverage Taste Evaluation, so I ordered it with high expectations. The card that came with it explained the tea in detail, making it easy to enjoy even for someone who doesn’t know much about tea, like me. Haha.

The small tea leaves placed on the leaf-shaped lid aren’t for eating—they’re there so you can enjoy the tea’s aroma. Haha.

![Hyeonwolhoji premium tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-16-14lz7-900.webp)

![Hyeonwolhoji tea with tea-leaf lid](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-17-1mued-900.webp)

It had a toasty flavor with a subtle sweetness, and it was so good. Even I, someone who doesn’t know tea well, thought, “This is really delicious.” It was easy to drink and paired so well with sweet desserts.

## Bamruigurum, reminiscent of chestnut ice cream

![Iced Bamruigurum tarak tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-18-1g9w7-900.webp)

This menu described itself as a rooibos tarak tea holding the spirit of autumn chestnuts. Tarak tea refers to tea made with milk for a soft, nutty flavor. It was described as a combination of milk tea and milk cream, and it was very smooth and rich.

It had a sweet chestnut flavor that reminded me of the familiar Babamba chestnut ice cream, and it was delicious. The chestnut’s distinctive nutty sweetness came through beautifully, making it a great menu item to have with dessert.

## The Dalbodeure Box: five things to try

![Signature Dalbodeure dessert box](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-19-1ucki-900.webp)

This is a dessert box that lets you try several desserts at once. Everything arrived neatly plated, so just looking at it made me happy.. 💕

### Injeolmi skewer

![Injeolmi skewer from the Dalbodeure Box](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-20-1ynlx-900.webp)

The Dalbodeure Box has five desserts in total. This one is injeolmi (soft rice cake coated in roasted soybean powder). It had that wonderfully soft, bouncy texture and wasn’t overly sweet, so it was easy to enjoy. The puffed rice on top added a crisp texture too—good!

### Ganache monaka

A monaka wafer made with French chocolate. It was the sweetest of the desserts in the Dalbodeure Box, so it was great when I needed a sugar boost. Its color and design were lovely too, making it fun to look at as well!

### Whole red bean and butter monaka

![Whole red bean and butter monaka](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-21-1mw0s-900.webp)

Red beans and gourmet butter are a combination that’s hard to get wrong! There were also little bits of nutty nuts and chewy rice cake inside, so you could enjoy the monaka’s crispness alongside the rice cake’s chewiness.

### Gamtae and pollack roe financier

A financier made with pollack roe and gamtae (seaweed), which sounded unfamiliar at first, but the subtle sweet-and-salty combination worked really well. With so many sweet desserts in the box, having one savory item gave the whole set a nice balance.

### Black rice sulppang

![Black rice sulppang from the Dalbodeure Box](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa/songjeong-oceanview-tea-suwolgyeonghwa-22-v927w-900.webp)

The chewy sulppang (rice wine bread) was filled with sweet red beans and tasted delicious. It was the kind of flavor that made me want another one as I ate! If you want to enjoy tea with a little bit of several desserts at a Songjeong café in Busan, I recommend the Dalbodeure Box too.

You can also receive a tea bag by joining the review event, so keep that in mind!

## Watching the Songjeong Beach Train from the café

One of the things I loved about Suwolgyeonghwa! While sitting in the café, you can watch the Songjeong Beach Train pass by, and the QR code on the table even lists the times it goes past. 👍🏻 If you check the time in advance and wait, you can take photos right as the train passes, which was great. Haha.

Above all, Songjeong Beach is right in front of you, so after finishing the tea and desserts, it was the perfect location for a short walk along the beach. ☺️

Suwolgyeonghwa was a Songjeong café in Busan where I could enjoy delicious tea, neatly presented desserts, and even the beach train, all right in front of Songjeong Beach.
