## In short

Bonaricetta is a wood-fired pizza and pasta restaurant in Mohyeon-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi. Three of us ordered one pepperoni pizza, one shrimp aglio e olio and one Korean beef short rib ragu pasta to share, and none of the three flavors overlapped. Bonaricetta is a good fit when a group wants to split a few different Western dishes in one sitting.

Three of us headed to Bonaricetta in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, wanting to properly enjoy pizza and pasta together. We ordered shrimp aglio e olio pasta, Korean beef short rib ragu pasta, and pepperoni pizza. We picked three dishes with different styles to share, and the menu combination worked out really well, making for a satisfying meal.

## Bonaricetta's atmosphere and seating

Walking in, the space felt comfortable yet calm. It wasn't overly formal, but it had more atmosphere than a typical casual eatery, so it suited both a date and a family meal. There were window seats too, which looked great for enjoying natural light while eating during the day.

The staff were kind as well. From ordering to the food coming out, they made sure we could eat comfortably, and the overall service was satisfying. I tend to prefer places that are good not just in food but also in atmosphere and service, and Bonaricetta made a great first impression on that front.

## Pepperoni pizza: what was the wood-fired dough texture like?

The dish I'd been most looking forward to was the pepperoni pizza. When looking for wood-fired pizza in Cheoin-gu, I think dough texture is what matters most. The wood-fired dough kept a smoky, charred flavor at the edges while staying chewy inside, giving it a charm clearly different from ordinary pizza.

The combination of pepperoni and cheese on top was also good. The cheese softened the salty, rich flavor of the pepperoni just enough that I kept reaching for another slice. Rather than piling on toppings until it got heavy, the composition let each element — dough, cheese, and pepperoni — come through on its own.

Since it came fresh out of the wood-fired oven, it tasted even better while still warm. The dough itself was good enough that we ate all the way to the crust, and it was also nice to pair a slice between bites of pasta. Searching for wood-fired pizza in Cheoin-gu and visiting Bonaricetta felt fully justified by this pepperoni pizza alone.

## Shrimp aglio e olio pasta

The shrimp aglio e olio pasta would satisfy anyone who likes oil-based pasta. The garlic flavor came through naturally without the oil feeling too heavy, so it ate cleanly. The shrimp added a springy texture that was different from just eating the noodles alone. Aglio e olio has relatively simple ingredients, so basic cooking technique makes a big difference in the result — here the noodle texture and oil balance matched well, so I finished it without any heaviness. Paired between bites of the rich pepperoni pizza, the light oil pasta naturally balanced things out.

## Korean beef short rib ragu pasta

The Korean beef short rib ragu pasta showed a completely different charm from the shrimp aglio e olio. Made with Korean beef short rib, the sauce carried a deep, rich meaty flavor, and it coated the noodles well so every bite felt full and satisfying. If you're ordering several pastas at Bonaricetta, choosing contrasting styles like this is a great approach.

The heaviness typical of ragu sauce can get tiring quickly, but the balance of meat, sauce, and noodles here kept it enjoyable. If the shrimp aglio e olio was the clean, fragrant option, the Korean beef short rib ragu was the rich, deep one — a good pairing to take turns eating among three people.

## A good combination for three people to share

Laying all three dishes out on the table, I felt like we'd chosen well. The salty richness of the pepperoni pizza, the cleanness of the aglio e olio, and the deep flavor of the Korean beef short rib ragu didn't overlap with each other at all. Bonaricetta seems like a great fit for anyone visiting with a group who wants to share a variety of Western dishes.

The comfortable atmosphere of the restaurant also helped us focus on the food throughout the meal. It was easy for the three of us to chat and eat slowly, and the space was kept clean. It felt like a place that suits any occasion — a date with a partner, a meal with friends, or a family outing.

The menu range was solid too, so it felt less like a one-dish destination and more like a restaurant meant for enjoying pizza and pasta together. If you're looking for wood-fired pizza in Cheoin-gu while also wanting to properly eat pasta, this place fits even better.

Shrimp aglio e olio suits anyone wanting a fresh, clean oil pasta, while the Korean beef short rib ragu is one I'd recommend to anyone who loves deep meaty flavor. Add the wood-fired pepperoni pizza on top and you get a much richer spread than pasta alone.

Bonaricetta was a place the three of us enjoyed for both the food and the atmosphere. From the freshly baked pizza to two pastas with completely different personalities, the combination was satisfying, and the staff were kind enough to keep us comfortable the whole meal. If you like Western food, go to Bonaricetta and pick a few dishes that suit your taste to share.
