During a family trip to Gangneung, I stopped by Gangneung Sand Main Branch (강릉샌드 본점) while looking for a dessert to take home as a travel gift. I chose strawberry and coffee sand cookies from the available flavors, had them packed, and tried them at home.

## What flavors of sand cookies are available, and how much do they cost?

At the time of my visit, six flavors of sand cookies were introduced. The coffee sand was listed at ₩16,000, while the other five flavors were listed at ₩17,000 each.

## What is the café interior like?

As soon as I entered, the white-and-blue interior caught my eye. The space was spacious and comfortable, so it did not feel cramped, and the colors gave me the feeling of being by the beach. It also seemed like a pleasant place to take photos or enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee.

There were also products on one side that looked worth considering as Gangneung travel souvenirs. The shop had a record of winning a tourism souvenir competition, which made it catch my eye as a commemorative gift.

## Is there a space to look around with children?

The third floor had an excavator experience zone. It was a space where children who like heavy equipment or rides could try things themselves, so I thought visiting with a child could be a fun way to spend time.

I liked that I could look around the café while having the sand cookies packed and also check out an experience space for children.

## How did the strawberry and coffee sand cookies taste?

My family chose the strawberry and coffee flavors. We brought the packed sand cookies home and tried them one by one.

As soon as I bit into the strawberry sand, I noticed a fairly strong strawberry aroma. The strawberry’s distinctive sweetness went well with the cookie, making it nice as a snack.

Personally, I kept reaching for the coffee sand more. I could taste the coffee flavor, but it was not too sweet, with a moderate level of sweetness. After eating one, it was the kind of flavor that made me take out another.

After trying them myself, I felt they would also make suitable Gangneung travel gifts for family or acquaintances. Of the two flavors I chose, the strawberry’s sweet aroma and the coffee’s not-too-sweet flavor each stayed with me.
