## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a Korean traditional-style tea house on the 4th floor of a building facing Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan. As the last stop of a Busan trip, the writer ordered the Dalbodeure dessert box, Jeju Breeze and hojicha coffee (hojigabae) all iced, and watched the Haeundae Beach Train pass along the sea through the window. If you want a Korean-style space rather than one more generic ocean-view café, Suwolgyeonghwa is the one to book.

On the last stop of my Busan trip, I wandered around Songjeong and finally made it to a café I'd been wanting to visit — Suwolgyeonghwa!

What I loved most was the ocean view of Songjeong Beach from a space with such a traditional Korean atmosphere — and since this stretch is where the Haeundae Beach Train runs, you can watch the sea and the train pass by at the same time. That moment was seriously pretty 🫧

## Getting to Suwolgyeonghwa: 4th floor right by Songjeong Beach

Suwolgyeonghwa is located near Songjeong Beach, so it's a great stop to combine with a beach walk.

![Stairway leading up to Suwolgyeonghwa's 4th floor](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-03-1l9bg-900.webp)

![Traditional Korean-style entrance of Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-04-luj6l-900.webp)

It's on the 4th floor of the building, and the vibe was already different from the moment I started climbing up ☺️ Instead of the flashy, modern look most cafés go for, this space embraces a traditional Korean feel, so I could sense Suwolgyeonghwa's own atmosphere right from the stairs.

![Blue Ribbon Survey selection sign at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-06-1c5g4-900.webp)

Turns out Suwolgyeonghwa has been picked by the Blue Ribbon Survey two years in a row, in 2025 and 2026 💙 Once I visited myself, not only the pretty interior but also the drinks and desserts were so satisfying — I could totally see why it keeps getting loved.

## Inside Suwolgyeonghwa: window seats facing the sea and the beach train

![Full view of Suwolgyeonghwa's interior](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-07-2ftbi-900.webp)

And honestly, what I liked most was the atmosphere of the space itself 🤎

![Traditional-style interior of Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-08-fsw58-900.webp)

![Seating with a traditional Korean atmosphere at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-09-1m1lz-1200.webp)

The interior overall had such a strong traditional Korean feel, clearly different from your average coffee-run café!

![Wood-accented interior at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-10-1srec-900.webp)

![Quiet, cozy decor at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-11-105q5-900.webp)

Wooden materials mixed with traditional-style props gave it a quiet, cozy, and warm feeling~~~

![Window seat at Suwolgyeonghwa overlooking Songjeong Beach](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-12-1y0xv-900.webp)

But most of all, once you look toward the window, an ocean view of Songjeong Beach opens right up in front of you 🌊 With the sea stretching out so openly, just sitting there already feels like a proper trip!!

When I visited, I even got to see the Haeundae Beach Train passing by 🚃 The sight of the train running in front of the blue sea was prettier than I expected, and I kept looking out the window even while sipping my drink ^_^

A pure ocean view is pretty on its own, but being able to see both the sea and the beach train together is what I think makes Suwolgyeonghwa special 🤍

## What we ordered: Dalbodeure box, Jeju Breeze and hojicha coffee

![Drinks and desserts ordered at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-13-olxwh-900.webp)

This is what I ordered that day❕
✔️ Dalbodeure box
✔️ Jeju Breeze
✔️ Hojicha

![Suwolgyeonghwa's signature Dalbodeure dessert box](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-14-1m773-900.webp)
*Dalbodeure box*

### What comes in the signature Dalbodeure dessert box

First up, Suwolgyeonghwa's signature dessert, the Dalbodeure box! Isn't the name itself just so cute 💓

![Korean-style dessert assortment in the Dalbodeure box](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-15-fomde-900.webp)

The Dalbodeure box comes with a variety of Korean-style desserts — gamtae (seaweed) mentaiko financier, whole red bean anbutter monaka, ganache monaka, black rice sulbbang (steamed rice cake), and injeolmi (rice cake dusted with bean powder) skewers. Instead of eating just one dessert, you get to try a little of each, which was really nice to enjoy alongside tea.

![Monaka desserts from the Dalbodeure box](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-16-1ui2f-900.webp)

![Injeolmi skewer and other desserts from the Dalbodeure box](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-17-lvbig-900.webp)

The monaka pieces especially had a crisp outside and a sweet, soft inside, which paired really well with tea! The injeolmi skewer had that nutty bean-powder flavor, so it was light and easy to eat 🤎 There was also a slightly savory item like the gamtae mentaiko financier, so the flavors weren't just sweet all the way through — the changes in between were a nice touch.

![Iced Jeju Breeze at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-18-vf8gx-900.webp)
*Jeju Breeze*

### Iced Jeju Breeze at Suwolgyeonghwa

I had the Jeju Breeze cold, as an iced drink 🧊

![Iced Jeju Breeze placed by the window](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-19-1w313-900.webp)

It was clean and refreshing, perfect for hot weather, and great to sip slowly while looking out at the sea. It also paired well with the sweet desserts from the Dalbodeure box — even better together!

![Hojicha drink at Suwolgyeonghwa](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-20-13g9u-900.webp)
*Hojicha*

### Iced hojicha coffee (hojigabae): nutty and roasty

Last but not least, the drink I was most looking forward to — hojicha 😋 It had that distinctive nutty, deep hojicha flavor, which went really well with the desserts 🤎

![A cup of iced hojicha](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe/suwolgyeonghwa-songjeong-ocean-view-cafe-21-1thia-900.webp)

Ordering it iced made it clean and easy to drink, and instead of being overly sweet, it had a subtle nutty flavor that I personally really liked.

Overall the drinks looked pretty, but what stood out most was how well they went together with the Dalbodeure box. And with the Songjiong sea in view the whole time I was enjoying the drinks and desserts, just sitting there was the best part of the day ❤️

## Honest verdict: is Suwolgyeonghwa worth it for an ocean view in Songjeong?

This was the café I visited on the last day of my Busan trip, and I was personally very satisfied. The space with its traditional Korean atmosphere was gorgeous, the ocean view of Songjeong Beach was great, and best of all, the view included the Haeundae Beach Train passing by, so I kept watching out the window the whole time I sat there 🚃

If you're looking for an ocean-view café in Songjeong, I'd recommend Suwolgyeonghwa! I think it'll especially appeal to those looking for a unique, Korean-style café rather than just another ordinary ocean-view spot 🤎 Next time I'm back in Songjeong, Busan, I'd love to stop by again for a relaxed cup of tea with a sea view!
