We both normally enjoy Japanese-style ramen, and since we had something to do around Beomeo-dong, we stopped in for lunch. ## Weekday daytime parking was a little difficult We left our home in Gyeongsan around 11 a.m. and arrived near the restaurant at about 11:20. We tried to park in a public lot, but there were no spaces, and it was hard to find an opening at the nearby street-side lots too. In the end, we parked near the base of the hill in Yashigol Park behind Beomeo Elementary School, across the street in the neighboring area, then walked about 10 more minutes. The front of the restaurant is also on a main road leading to Dalgubeol-daero rather than a small side street, so parking was harder than expected even on a weekday afternoon. Taking the subway or bus may actually be more convenient than driving. ## Already full of customers before lunch Ryusenso Beomeo Branch is right beside the main road, so it was easy to find. It was not even noon when we arrived, but once we sat down, all the table seats were full; shortly afterward, customers started filling the bar seats too. Even though we visited in the middle of the day, it felt softly lit and cozy—almost like walking into a ramen shop while traveling in Japan. One thing I personally loved: there is no separate break time! It is nice that you can have a relaxed meal even if you miss the usual mealtime. You can choose from three spice levels, and since level 1 was said to be about as spicy as Shin Ramyun, I chose level 2. The spicy flavor added to the rich tonkotsu broth made it surprisingly clean and easy to eat, and I personally enjoyed it too. My husband especially likes cleaner flavors, and he said the Kara suited his taste even better than the original Ryusenso. Even level 2 was not overwhelmingly spicy. The outside was crisp, while the inside was moist and packed with juices. It came with both mayo and soy-based sauces, and the mayo suited our tastes a little better.
