## Where to try the DARIMATI BR-001 HYROX training shoes

I first saw and bought the DARIMATI BR-001 at the main pop-up zone on the 4th floor of U-PLEX in Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch. I heard a pop-up store was opening for DARIMATI, a hybrid shoe brand newly launched in Korea, so I went to check it out in person.

It ran from September 7 to 20, daily from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM. I'd heard the brand had already sold out once in Korea, which made me even more curious about the product. I looked at the BR-001 in person at the pop-up, picked the beige color, and actually wore it while running and training.

## 1. Visiting the DARIMATI pop-up at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo

The DARIMATI pop-up store at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch was set up right in the central main pop-up zone on U-PLEX's 4th floor, so it was easy to find. Instead of a closed-off small shop, the shoes were displayed right in the middle of the space, so I could naturally browse the shoes and the event area just walking past.

At first, DARIMATI still felt like an unfamiliar name in Korea. Since it's a newly launched brand here and calls itself a hybrid shoe built with both running and training in mind, I wanted to see for myself how it actually differed from a regular running shoe or a CrossFit shoe.

## 2. The 30-second rowing challenge at the pop-up

The pop-up was running an event where you could try 30 seconds of rowing, so I joined in myself. I'd assumed it would just be a space with shoes on display, but having an actual workout tied into the event made it stick in my memory more than simply looking at the product.

Thirty seconds sounds short, but once I actually started rowing the atmosphere felt completely different from just browsing the pop-up. Since HYROX combines running with several functional movements, it made sense that a rowing event was running in a space introducing a HYROX shoe.

That caught my attention — it's not just a shoe for running, but one designed with training and CrossFit in mind too. If you care about running shoe stability but also need the support of a CrossFit shoe, this is a combination worth looking into.

## 3. Fit and feel: why I chose beige over gray

The BR-001 came in two colors, gray and beige. After comparing them directly, I chose beige. Functional sneakers can sometimes look too sporty to wear in everyday life, but beige seemed like it would blend naturally with regular clothes, which I liked.

Once I bought it and actually wore it during workouts, the lightness of the shoe made for a comfortable fit. I'd assumed a shoe built for stability would feel heavy or restrictive, but the BR-001 stayed light while still giving a stable, supportive hold on the foot.

What I liked especially was that my foot didn't slide inside the shoe during fast, forceful movements like training or CrossFit. ## 4. Can you wear the BR-001 with everyday clothes?

What I liked most was that it wasn't a shoe only for working out — it also worked well with everyday clothes. I wear sneakers pretty much 365 days a year, so design matters to me as much as function. No matter how comfortable a shoe is during a workout, if it's hard to match with everyday outfits, I don't reach for it often — but the BR-001 didn't feel overly 'functional' in a way that got in the way.

The beige I chose blended naturally with workout clothes as well as regular clothes. Being able to wear the same pair from the gym straight into everyday errands without changing shoes was really convenient. Between the light fit, the stable support, and a design I actually liked, it felt like a sneaker I'd genuinely reach for often.

I hadn't originally planned to buy just the shoe, but since it came as a set with a cap, I thought it would come in handy for running or outdoor workouts too.

## Do you need separate running and CrossFit shoes?

At first I wondered whether I needed to keep separate shoes for running and CrossFit depending on the workout. But after actually training in the BR-001, I found it's a shoe I could recommend broadly across running, general training, CrossFit, and HYROX.

During running segments the light fit was comfortable, and during training movements the stability and support that kept my foot from sliding were satisfying.
