I wanted to introduce a spot in Euljiro where you can eat moist, tender, delicious pork cutlet.

I had something to do near Euljiro-ipgu Station and was looking around for what to eat, so I ended up at Hunta Euljiro.

Euljiro is a neighborhood where a lot of office workers gather, so there are plenty of places to eat. Today I was craving pork cutlet, and Hunta was the winner!

## Where is Hunta Euljiro, and what is the restaurant like?

Hunta Euljiro is on the first floor of the Fastfive building on Namdaemun-ro 9-gil, so you see the shop right away once you walk into the building. I liked that the tables had generous spacing, and you can just sit wherever's comfortable.

There's a meat fridge tucked in one corner of the shop. Hunta's katsu is known for using a black pork aging method, so I was curious what the pork cutlet would taste like.

Hunta Euljiro's loin katsu set is 14,000 won. It comes together with rice, soup, scallion kimchi, cubed radish kimchi, and cabbage salad.

A soup comes with it too, and I was surprised when I tasted it. Deep flavor, really savory haha. It's easily one of the best pork cutlet soups I've ever had.

There's also cabbage salad next to the pork cutlet, and tasting it, it seemed to have a corn-based dressing — I fell for this too haha. Highly recommend 😆

Loin cuts are known for having a certain amount of fat, and Hunta's loin katsu delivered that savory fatty flavor. The meat's own aroma came through subtly, the outside was fried crispy while the inside stayed moist, and you could taste both the loin's characteristic savory fat and its juices together.

## Is Hunta Euljiro worth it for lunch in Euljiro?

If you like katsu, you won't have to think too hard about which menu to pick, and with such a variety of sides, you can eat it however suits your taste.

It was a good place to visit on a day when I wanted something filling but not Korean food in Euljiro, or when I wanted to have a nice lunch with a coworker. It's easily in my top five pork cutlets I've ever had. 👍
