I went to Sokcho Jungang Market to pick up seafood takeout from Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot (예스수산). I added two portions of fried rice to a prepared red snow crab lunchbox, and the crab was easy to shell and share at home.

The shop was right beside the entrance to Hanaro Mart in the middle of the market. Quite a few people had gathered to pick up crab, so it was easy to spot.

There were also king crabs and scallops in the tanks. They looked fresh, and I considered ordering more, but I had already bought plenty of other food, so I chose only red snow crab. King crab and scallop prices vary with market prices.

## How much were the red snow crab lunchbox and fried rice?

At the time of my visit, each prepared red snow crab lunchbox contained two crabs and cost ₩25,000. I chose the one I liked from the lunchboxes on display.

I picked the red snow crabs that looked a little larger. Fried rice was an additional ₩2,000 per portion, so I ordered two.

I expected them to simply pack pre-cooked rice, but they stir-fried it to order with innards from the red snow crabs I had selected. I liked receiving freshly made fried rice.

## How was the packaging for the trip to Seoul?

The red snow crab and fried rice were carefully packed in an insulated bag. I carried them to Seoul, and there was no odor leakage or dripping during the trip; the bag also retained its temperature.

On the way home, I ate one crab leg first at Mulchi Port. It was full of meat, which made me want more. I also wanted to try the fried rice, but I had not taken a spoon because I planned to eat it at home, so I could not eat it on the way.

## How many people can share two red snow crabs?

The fried rice was served in crab shells. At first, I worried that two red snow crabs might not be enough, but in my view, they would be enough for two people if crab were the only food. I prepared other dishes as well and shared them among three people, and the amount was just right.

The red snow crab was prepared in advance, so it was easy to shell. I could eat the meat without struggling to dig it out with chopsticks, and there was more meat than I expected. I especially liked the springy texture of the claw legs.

## What did the crab-innards fried rice taste like?

The fried rice did not taste fishy, and the seasoning was not too salty, so it suited my taste. The nutty flavor of crab innards was joined by the aroma of sesame oil and the savory taste of gim (roasted seaweed). I was glad I added two portions.

I also liked topping the fried rice with picked crab meat. The lightly salty red snow crab went well with the nutty fried rice. What I especially liked about this takeout was being able to eat prepared red snow crab easily and the fried rice made to order.
