Baek Jong-won apparently put the whole Yesan Market together, so it was labeled Baek Jong-won Street. There is so much food tucked into every alley. Each shop has tables, so you can eat there, or grab a spot in the central square and bring over bits and pieces you buy. There were quite a lot of people even on a weekday, but I hear the square tables have a wait on weekends because it gets so busy. Some of the alley floors were a little uneven, but it was still fine to bring in a stroller. It might be difficult with a stroller when it is absolutely packed on a weekend, but weekdays were totally fine. The square is spacious too, so we parked the stroller by the walkway—and our baby became a little celebrity with everyone passing by, haha. ## Takeout Shishito Pepper Chicken Stir-Fry While looking around, we spotted Sijang Dakbokkeum (시장닭볶음). We stopped in to get takeout because it seemed perfect for dinner. But we were dreaming different dreams. Husband: “Good thing we ordered boneless.” Me: “Should we have ordered bone-in?” Hahahahahahahahahahaha. The boneless chicken was delicious too! If we had had rice, it probably would have been even, even better to stir-fry the rice in the sauce. It was deliciously spicy, so we happily ate it while going “whew whew, haha.” Yesan Market has lots of food and is clean and well organized, so it would be nice even just to enjoy the atmosphere of a tidy old-school market.
