We wanted a casual weekend night with the family — a cold draft beer and some good late-night food — so we headed to Bacha Suji Branch, which has been getting a lot of buzz as a bar near Suji-gu Office.

I was looking for something more than a plain beer joint — somewhere with good food and a good vibe too. Bacha Suji Branch turned out to be exactly that kind of dining bar: a bit too classy-feeling to just call a "bar," but relaxed enough that it's not quite a restaurant either. If you're hunting for a good bar near Suji-gu Office, this place works for dates, friend hangouts, and casual family drinks alike. ✨

## Where is Bacha Suji Branch and what are its hours?

Bacha Suji Branch is located at 16-6 Pungdeokcheon-ro 129beon-gil, Suji-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi, South Korea, 1st floor. Hours are Sunday–Thursday 17:00–01:00 and Friday–Saturday 17:00–02:00, so it's a solid pick for a late-night bite.

## Saturday at 9pm: was there a wait at Bacha Suji Branch?

We showed up around 9pm on a Saturday, and I was surprised the moment we walked in — the place was packed!! Peak time, popular spot,, and sure enough, the guests right after us had to wait!

![The packed dining room at Bacha Suji Branch on a Saturday night](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-04-b05fz-900.webp)

A few minutes later and we probably would've had to wait too, but we got lucky and got a table right away. Looking around, I noticed plenty of what looked like locals, a few couples clearly on dates, and tables full of friends drinking together. It was also perfectly comfortable for a late-evening family visit for beer and food, like us!

## Café or restaurant? Inside the pin-lit dining bar

The moment we stepped in, my first thought was: "Wait, a bar can look this good?"

![Softly lit interior of Bacha Suji Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-06-1qx7a-900.webp)

It wasn't the loud, rowdy bar atmosphere you'd typically picture. Thanks to the soft lighting, it felt more like sitting in a café, and in some ways, like a nicely styled restaurant.

What I liked most was the pin lighting dropping down over each table like a little spotlight. The food on the table looked extra appetizing under it, while the overall space stayed calm enough for easy conversation.

Instead of the usual loud pojangmacha (street tent bar) vibe, the interior had a mood you'd expect from a pretty café or an upscale restaurant. It made for a really nice, quiet, cozy atmosphere to catch up with family! There were also outdoor tables, which looked great for chatting outside in that cool autumn air,,💛

## What we ordered at Bacha Suji Branch and what it cost

## The full order for the night, dish by dish

We ordered two main dishes — sous-vide pork jowl salad and mangnan bacon cream pasta! For drinks, we mixed it up: Bacha cream draft beer, non-alcoholic Afternoon Mango, and a glass of Kkachi Dolbaeju 47 traditional liquor. I liked that there were options ranging from beer to non-alcoholic to traditional liquor, so everyone could pick what suited them.

- Sous-vide pork jowl salad ₩26,000
- Mangnan bacon cream pasta ₩21,000
- Bacha cream draft beer ₩4,200
- Afternoon Mango (non-alcoholic) ₩8,200
- Traditional liquor: Kkachi Dolbaeju 47 (glass) ₩8,500

## How was the sous-vide pork jowl salad (26,000 won)?

Sous-vide cooked pork jowl that basically melted in the mouth! They finished the meat with a light torch sear, giving it a serious smoky depth. The savory meat topped with tangy chive salad, with a little wasabi and pink salt on the side, made for a perfect drinking snack — savory and tender all at once.

![Sous-vide pork jowl salad finished with a torch sear](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-14-1gpin-900.webp)

When you think pork jowl, you usually picture something fatty and chewy, but the sous-vide method here made it noticeably softer and juicier. That savory meat flavor with a hint of smokiness was delicious from the first bite. It was already great on its own, but the tangy chive salad brought even better balance.

![Pork jowl salad served with wasabi and pink salt](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-16-olaru-900.webp)

![A bite of sous-vide pork jowl picked up with chives](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-17-1gsvn-900.webp)

The chives cut through the richness of the pork jowl so nicely I kept reaching for more. Dipping it in a little pink salt made the meat flavor pop even more, and a dab of wasabi added a spicy kick.

It's the same pork jowl, but the flavor shifted depending on what we paired it with — fun to eat. Great as a beer snack, but honestly good enough to enjoy on its own without alcohol too. Definitely a menu item I'd recommend if you're hunting for a good bar near Suji.

## Myeongnan bacon cream pasta 21,000 won: filling enough as a meal?

A thick, savory cream sauce loaded with salty mangnan (seasoned pollock roe) and bacon, giving deep, rich umami flavor! The button mushrooms inside had good texture, and the rich, upscale sauce — almost like eating a proper cream soup — paired perfectly with the chewy noodles.

![Mangnan bacon cream pasta with button mushrooms](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-18-qa5av-900.webp)

This dish with savory cream sauce, salty mangnan, and bacon... no notes,,🩷 It was exactly the thick-yet-smooth cream flavor I was hoping for. The button mushrooms added even more depth to the overall savory aroma.

The soft cream flavor, mangnan's distinct saltiness, and bacon's umami all balanced out really well — nothing overdone. If the pork jowl was the light, savory dish, the cream pasta was the richer, smoother one! I personally loved ordering both since they had such different flavor profiles. If you're at this bar near Suji-gu Office looking for something to eat as a proper meal rather than just a snack, the cream pasta is a solid pick.

## Drink lineup: draft beer, non-alcoholic and traditional liquor by the glass

We ordered a variety of drinks to match everyone's taste, and it was a total win.

### Bacha cream draft beer, 4,200 won

Can't skip the draft beer at a dining bar!!! Absolutely essential for late-night food! The foam was super creamy and soft, and the crisp, cold carbonation felt like it washed away all the richness from the food.

True to its name, Bacha cream draft beer had a good amount of smooth, creamy foam on top. The foam wasn't rough at all — soft against the lips. The beer came out cold, refreshing from the first sip, followed by a nice crisp fizz.

### Afternoon Mango non-alcoholic, 8,200 won

A great pick for the non-drinker in our group!

![Non-alcoholic Afternoon Mango served in an ade glass](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-19-1968o-900.webp)

The drink served in an ade glass on the left was Afternoon Mango! Sweet and tangy with a fizzy kick — it had that fun, resort-vacation kind of sweetness. A great non-alcoholic choice if you can't drink, or just want to enjoy the vibe without alcohol!

![Close-up of the refreshing mango non-alcoholic drink](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-20-zqtjp-900.webp)

From the first sip it was sweet and tangy mango with carbonation on top — really refreshing. Drinking it kind of felt like sipping a cold fruit drink on vacation somewhere. It was also nice that there was something for the non-drinker in our group to choose.

### Kkachi Dolbaeju 47 traditional liquor by the glass, 8,500 won

There was a traditional liquor you could order by the glass, so we gave it a try!

![A glass of Kkachi Dolbaeju 47 traditional liquor](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-21-73hvf-900.webp)

It's a strong spirit at a whopping 47% ABV, but with a wild pear base, the aroma was really rich and lovely. A single glass gave us a strong taste of a traditional liquor that's both heavy and fragrant — a real treat.

![A small glass holding the dolbaeju liquor pour](https://img.superchart.com/images/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor/baecha-suji-late-night-traditional-liquor-22-4kidm-900.webp)

The aroma rose up richly the moment the glass came close, and being pear-based, the sweet fruit fragrance was quite striking. Given the high alcohol content, the first sip was certainly strong, but it wasn't just harsh alcohol burn. The distinct fragrance of wild pear lingered in the mouth for a while, making it a drink you enjoy for its aroma as much as its taste. I also liked that we could try a strong spirit like this by the glass, without committing to a whole bottle.

## Final thoughts on Bacha Suji Branch 🎀

Under the soft pin lighting, enjoying quality food and cozy conversation — that was Bacha Suji Branch! It had it all: taste, atmosphere, and friendly service, so I'll definitely be back to try other menu items,,🩷

The combo of the tender, smoky sous-vide pork jowl salad with the cold cream draft beer was the most memorable part for me. If you love cream pasta, definitely try the mangnan bacon cream pasta too! This has been my review of Bacha Suji Branch, a bar near Suji where you can enjoy great atmosphere and food together. If you're near Suji-gu Office Station looking for a good-vibe bar for a date or a group hangout, I highly recommend stopping by without hesitation! ❤️
