Lately I kept looking at my hair and thinking I needed some kind of change! My length had grown down to about chest level, but the longer it got, the flatter my roots sagged and the frizzier the ends became — honestly hard to manage at all. My hair also has quite a bit of damage, so I was worried that another perm might just wreck it further.

Still, I didn't want to chop off my long hair, so I wanted to keep the length while adding natural volume — so I visited Project Lure, a hair salon in Sangdae-dong, Daejeon~

Even sitting for a long time, it didn't feel cluttered, so I could relax comfortably through the whole process~!!

On top of that, my crown had no volume and lay flat against my scalp, so the overall shape had collapsed. After a thorough consultation with the director, we decided to lift volume at the sagging roots and add a feminine S-curl below. ## How long the S-curl perm and root volume took: about 3 hours

Of course, time can vary depending on hair length and condition, but for me, including consultation to finish, it took about this long.

It sounds long on paper, but she kept checking my hair condition throughout and worked slowly, which was actually reassuring. Especially for hair like mine that's already damaged, I realized minimizing further damage matters far more than finishing quickly.

Throughout the process, she carefully worked in nutrients and protein my hair needed, cutting off damage at the source.

## Result: root volume magic on a flat crown

Before, when I took my hair down, the ends were frizzy while the roots stayed flat, so the overall balance was off. With the S-curl perm and root volume done together, the top was lifted naturally while the S-curl flowed through the bottom, tying the whole silhouette together~!! Director Dain's dazzling touch,,🩷

Long hair tends to sag at the roots under its own weight, flattening the crown — and since my hair is on the thin side and weak, it always drooped. Thanks to the root volume, my crown volume came back and my head shape looked so much prettier!

"Root volume" doesn't mean an exaggerated puffed-up look — it's natural volume added to the head shape, which looked much prettier once my hair was down. From the side too, since the crown wasn't flat, even the lines around my face looked more alive. This was exactly the style I wanted — keeping my long hair while changing the vibe~
